Lilienthalschlösschen
About
You know what caught me off guard about Lilienthalschlösschen? The name alone made me think I was walking into some grand castle situation, but honestly – and I mean this in the best way – it's more like stumbling upon that perfectly charming neighborhood spot that locals have been quietly enjoying for years. The whole place has this understated elegance that feels refreshingly real, especially when you're tired of those cookie-cutter hotel experiences that all blur together.
The building itself has character in spades (you can tell it's got stories), with those classic architectural details that make you want to actually look up from your phone for once. I spent my first morning just wandering around, coffee in hand, noticing little things like the way morning light hits the windows and how the staff genuinely seems to know what they're doing without being overly formal about it. The rooms are what I'd call thoughtfully simple – everything you need is there, nothing feels cheap, but they're not trying to impress you with unnecessary bells and whistles either. Actually, that's kind of the whole vibe here.
What really sells this place, though, is how it sits in its neighborhood. You're not stuck in some tourist bubble where everything costs twice what it should – this feels like you're staying somewhere that belongs. I found myself walking to actual local spots for dinner, passing people walking their dogs, getting a real sense of daily life rather than just checking boxes on a sightseeing list. The check-in was smooth (no drama, no waiting around), and parking wasn't the nightmare I'd psyched myself up for. Sure, it's a 3-star place, so don't expect marble everything and room service at midnight, but the 7.9 rating makes total sense once you settle in. It's the kind of spot where you sleep well, wake up refreshed, and realize you'd definitely stay here again – which, honestly, is exactly what you want from a hotel, isn't it?

The little castle ist so charming and wonderful that I will definitely come back anytime I will have business in Berlin. The neighborhood is quiet and has very beautiful villas, that makes walking very pleasant and full of personality. The rooms are comfortable, warm and clean, and the kitchen has almost everything you need.

Beautiful two room studio in extremely quiet Residential Neighbourhood. Perfect if you like it to Escape the City Lights for the Night. Charming Interieur, if a bit old-fashioned.
We liked the location - lovely, leafy neighbourhood, good transport links and good restaurants nearby. Outside seating was nice for relaxing and eating breakfast. Friendly cat! Cool indoors, despite the heat outdoors.
Very nice and quiet place, 10 min walk to S Bahn station to the centre. Very pleasant owners. We were very satisfied.
It was clean. It is located outside of the city center. Residential neighborhood.
