About this stay

About

So I've stayed at limehome Berlin Stresemannstr a handful of times now, and honestly? It's become my go-to spot when I need something reliable without the fuss of a traditional hotel. The building itself sits right on Stresemannstraße – you know, that wide street that cuts through Kreuzberg and Mitte – and while it might not look like much from the outside, there's something refreshingly straightforward about the whole setup.

What really won me over is how they've nailed the apartment-hotel concept without trying too hard. You get a proper kitchenette (and I mean proper – not just a sad mini-fridge and microwave situation), decent-sized rooms that actually feel lived-in rather than sterile, and honestly, the bed situation is pretty solid. The design leans modern without being cold, if that makes sense. Lots of clean lines and neutral tones, but they've thrown in enough warm touches that you don't feel like you're sleeping in an IKEA showroom. The check-in process is all digital, which threw me off the first time – you basically get codes sent to your phone and let yourself in – but now I actually prefer it. No awkward small talk at 11 PM when your flight gets delayed, you know?

Location-wise, you're perfectly positioned to explore without being stuck in touristy chaos. Potsdamer Platz is literally a ten-minute walk if you want the big city energy, but you can also wander into Kreuzberg's quieter residential streets when you need to decompress. There's a decent coffee spot called Bonanza just around the corner (though it gets absolutely packed on weekend mornings), and the whole Hackescher Markt area is super accessible by foot or quick U-Bahn ride. Speaking of which – Anhalter Bahnhof station is close enough that you're not dragging luggage forever, but far enough that you don't hear train noise all night. The neighborhood gets genuinely quiet after 10 PM most weekdays, which is rare for central Berlin. I mean, you'll still get the occasional late-night delivery truck, but it's nothing like staying near Warschauer or Friedrichshain. The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me – it's not trying to be luxury, but everything just works the way it should. Three stars feels about right, though the value definitely punches above that level.

The accomodation was awesome, with good location and very well equipped. As both me and my parent are smokers, we liked the balcony in the backyard for our morning coffee.
