Living Berlin
About
You know what? Living Berlin surprised me. I'll be honest - the name had me expecting some ultra-trendy boutique place that would be all style and no substance, but this 3-star spot actually gets it right in ways that matter. The first thing that hit me walking in was how the lobby felt lived-in rather than sterile, like someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just what looks good in photos.
The location is honestly pretty smart - you're not stuck in the touristy Mitte madness, but you're not stranded in some random residential area either. It's one of those Berlin neighborhoods where you'll find actual Berliners grabbing coffee in the morning, which I mean, isn't that what you want when you're visiting? The U-Bahn connection is solid (you'll figure out the closest stop pretty quickly), and there's this great little späti around the corner that stays open late - trust me, you'll appreciate that when you need water at 11 PM.
What really won me over was the attention to small details that most hotels completely miss. The rooms aren't huge - this is Berlin, after all - but whoever designed them actually understood how people use hotel rooms. There's enough surface space for your stuff, the lighting works for both reading and getting ready, and honestly, the beds are way more comfortable than they have any right to be at this price point. The bathrooms are compact but well thought out, with decent water pressure (which, let's be real, can be hit or miss in Berlin). I stayed there during a pretty busy weekend in summer and never had issues with noise from other rooms, though you will hear some street sounds if you're facing the main road - nothing crazy, just the normal urban hum.
The staff deserves a mention too. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and when I had questions about getting to Tempelhof for an evening walk, the front desk person gave me actual useful directions instead of just pointing vaguely at a map. They seem to know their neighborhood, which matters more than you might think. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me - this isn't a place that's trying to be something it's not, but it delivers on what it promises. It's the kind of hotel where you feel like you're staying in Berlin rather than just sleeping in a generic room that happens to be in Berlin, if that makes sense.

My family and I had a lovely stay while here in Berlin! It was as advertised -- very clean, cozy, and comfortable. It's a little small for four people but it wasn't really a problem for us. Communication was good and we had a lovely time, thanks again!

New and clean apartment
Location, setup, Met by staff on arrival which was good.
the location was excellent. 15 mins to berlin central station. very safe and beautiful. the walk itself was amazing. very good pizza downstairs and a good supermarket 2 mins away
The apartment is really nice and has a small but good kitchen. There is a small café/pizzeria on the first floor of the building and a small shop/kiosk nearby. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from Central Station. Quiet apartment and good views of the city.
The location great and the apartment block smart and apartment was clean smart and functional.
It's a great place: quite small but very well organized and functional. The view above Berlin deserves a special mention! It's quite conveniently located too, 12mn walk from the main rail station. There are shops nearby and the tower itself houses a nice café, there's also a good restaurant in front.
Neat tidy functional and comfortable
