Lulu Guldsmeden
About
Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect from Lulu Guldsmeden when I first walked in – the name alone had me curious. But you know what? This place completely won me over, and I mean that in the best possible way. It's got this effortlessly cool Scandinavian vibe that doesn't feel forced or Instagram-manufactured. The lobby hits you with warm woods and these gorgeous textiles that actually make you want to sink into every chair you pass. There's something about the lighting here – soft and golden, never harsh – that makes everyone look like they just stepped out of a Danish design magazine.
What really sets this hotel apart is how they've nailed that whole "eco-luxury" thing without being preachy about it. The rooms have these incredible organic cotton linens that are so soft you'll actually consider asking where they got them (spoiler: I did ask, and yes, you can buy them). The bathrooms stock Bang & Olufsen products – I mean, when's the last time you got excited about hotel shampoo? – and everything smells like eucalyptus and mint instead of that generic hotel soap smell. They've got plants everywhere, real ones that are clearly being taken care of, and the whole place just breathes better because of it. The staff genuinely seems to know their stuff too; they're not just reciting scripts, they're actually helpful with local recommendations that go beyond the obvious tourist spots.
Now, I'll be real with you – this isn't the cheapest option you'll find, and sometimes the commitment to natural materials means things feel a bit more rustic than polished (the wooden floors creak charmingly but definitely creak). But that 8.3 rating makes total sense once you've stayed here. The breakfast spread is actually worth getting up for – proper Danish pastries, local honey, coffee that doesn't taste like it's been sitting around for hours. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees, and they let me store my bags without any fuss when I arrived early. The whole experience just feels thoughtful, like someone actually considered what travelers want rather than what looks good in photos. If you're the type who appreciates good design and can tell the difference between authentic style and marketing fluff, you'll get why this place has such a following.

Excellent staff: very helpful, friendly and polite. The suite on the 2nd floor was very spacious and decorated with taste. Breakfast was very good too. Last, it was very convenient to have an in-house bike rental option:)
Atmosphere friendly and cosy. Breakfast products really good quality and sustainable.
Good price
Great design, amazing cosmetics room, and bathroom were a bit small but we managed with family of 4. Great to be able to park directly next to the hotel
We came there as a big group so really could not have had a better stay! The rooms fit 4 people in total which was perfect for what we needed. The location was great. Downstairs there was a bar where we could sip wine and play games.
The decor, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the location and the natural food/prodicts.
We loved everything!
Art decor was really interesting and visually appealing. Staff were super friendly
The staff were awesome, and it was such a cute and lovely place! There were 5 of us, and that's always tough to accomodate.
