What really gets me about this place is how quiet it is, especially at night. The rooms have these big windows that look right out onto the lake, and honestly, waking up to swans paddling by your window instead of Berlin traffic is pretty spectacular. The interiors are sleek without being cold – lots of light wood and clean lines that somehow work perfectly with the water setting. You know what surprised me most? The soundproofing is actually excellent, which you wouldn't necessarily expect on a boat. The location grows on you once you figure it out. Sure, you're not stumbling out your door onto Unter den Linden, but Spandau has this unexpected charm – the old town area is actually worth exploring, and the Zitadelle Spandau is right there if you're into history. Plus, getting back into central Berlin is easier than you'd think; the S-Bahn connections aren't bad at all. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're doing a longer stay in Berlin and want something genuinely different, or if you're the type who values a good night's sleep over being in the thick of everything.
