Myer’s Hotel Berlin
About
You know what surprised me most about Myer's Hotel Berlin? It's one of those places that actually lives up to its 8.9 rating without trying too hard to impress you. I mean, sure, it's a solid four-star property, but there's something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole experience that sets it apart from those overly polished chain hotels you find everywhere these days.
The moment you walk into the lobby, there's this understated elegance that feels very Berlin – not flashy, just thoughtfully designed with clean lines and that perfect balance of modern comfort and German practicality. The staff genuinely seems to know what they're doing (which honestly isn't always a given), and check-in was surprisingly smooth even during what I'm guessing was a pretty busy weekend. What I really appreciated was how they handled the little things – you know, like actually having someone available to help with luggage and giving recommendations that weren't just the obvious tourist traps. The rooms themselves are well-appointed without being fussy, and the beds are legitimately comfortable, not just hotel-marketing comfortable. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters more than you'd think in a city like Berlin where there's always something happening outside.
But here's what really sold me on the place – it's the kind of hotel where you can tell they've thought about the guest experience from a traveler's perspective, not just a business perspective. The WiFi actually works throughout the building, the shower pressure is fantastic (seriously, this shouldn't be rare but it is), and they've managed to create spaces that feel comfortable for both business travelers and people just exploring the city. I noticed they had guests ranging from young couples to business folks to families, and somehow everyone seemed to fit naturally. The location puts you right in the thick of things without being overwhelming, and you're close enough to metro stations that getting around is effortless. Even small touches like having power outlets in sensible places and proper lighting for actually reading made a difference. It's the sort of place where you'd be happy to stay multiple nights without feeling like you need to escape, and honestly, at this price point with this level of service, that's saying something. If you're looking for a reliable base in Berlin that won't disappoint you, Myer's Hotel delivers exactly what you'd hope for.

Knut and David were so helpful with all our needs and questions. We got tips on everything from public transportation, restaurants to hidden gems to visit. Breakfast was really good, with healthy obtions. We will be back.
Very close to transport and some local restaurants. Easy to walk to Christmas markets and access lots of attractions. Room was large it felt warm and cosy as temp really dropped when we were there.
The location was excellent in the East side of Berlin with ample access to public transportation and to GDR Museum and the Berlin Walk. The breakfast was The best we’ve ever had at a Hotel. Such a wide selection of food with a great staff . We requested a takeaway. of the breakfast as we had an early flight . The staff packed it with 3 different sandwiches filled with wonderful cheeses lunch meats , fruits .. it’s as if the buffet breakfast was either us all day
Great hotel. Lovely room and a wonderful breakfast
Loved the spa. Great location in Berlin. Friendly and nice staff. Great room for my needs. Good breakfast but one needs to go there early otherwise there's not much food left
I had a wonderful stay with my son of 15 years old in this magnificent hotel in an attractive neighbourhood where we discovered tasty restaurants with enough vegetarian options at very reasonable prices. Tram stop to the center at the corner of the street and on the next corner a very cheap supermarket to avoid extra costs, what else do you need for a perfect city trip?
We enjoyed the restaurants around it and we enjoyed being in east Berlin,
