Olive INN Berlin
About
Look, I'll be honest – when I first pulled up to the Olive INN on Wilhelmstraße, I wasn't expecting much. Spandau gets a bad rap from tourists who think Berlin ends at Charlottenburg, but that's actually part of what makes this place work. You're far enough from the tourist chaos of Mitte to get a decent night's sleep, but still connected enough that the S-Bahn gets you to Alexanderplatz in about 30 minutes.
The hotel itself sits in this quiet residential stretch where you'll hear more German on the street than English – which, you know what, is refreshing if you want to feel like you're actually in Berlin instead of some international tourist bubble. The building has that solid, no-nonsense German architecture that doesn't try to be Instagram-pretty but somehow ends up being more comfortable than places that cost twice as much. I mean, the lobby won't blow you away, but the staff actually remembers your name after day two, and they genuinely seem to know the neighborhood. When I asked about finding a proper späti (that's a corner store for you non-Berliners), they pointed me to one three blocks away that stays open until 2 AM and stocks better beer than most hotel minibars.
What really sold me on this place was the attention to small stuff that matters when you're actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms are bigger than you'd expect – not just wide enough to open your suitcase without hitting the bed, but actually spacious enough to spread out a bit. The Wi-Fi works everywhere, even in the elevator, and the windows open wide (try finding that in American hotels). Sure, the décor is more "comfortable aunt's guest room" than "design magazine," but honestly? After walking around Berlin all day, you want somewhere that feels solid and restful, not somewhere you need to figure out how to turn on the lights. The breakfast spread is pretty solid too – proper German bread, decent coffee, and they don't run out of the good stuff by 9 AM like some places do. Parking is available if you're brave enough to drive in Berlin, though I'd honestly recommend just using the excellent public transport from here. The area gets pretty quiet after 9 PM, which means you'll actually sleep well, but it also means you'll want to head closer to the center for nightlife. That said, there's something nice about coming back to a neighborhood where people are walking their dogs instead of stumbling out of clubs.

Superb
Good place for stay in the west part of Berlin. Spacious and clean rooms. Fast wifi. Parking lot. It seems relatively new. Nothing to complain about. Stuff are students and they peak English so everything was very smooth. Aldi and Kaufland supermarkets are very close.
Hotel is relatively far from everything, so count with some time to get to the town. Walk time to the nearest metro station is 25-30 min. I was receiving from the hotel many messages like register and get automated check-in, and get automated check-out, ... I don't expect that, I choose to stay in hotel because there is a reception, with people, who can advice on something.
Superb
We enjoyed the hospitality a lot. Very friendly staff. The free parking was also a huge plus for us.
Excellent short term option in the NW of Berlin
Excellent room size and space distribution, excellent cleanliness, excellent service attitude of the staff, excellent breakfast buffet.
Location was not the nicest (surroundings, no view) and it was not very convenient for me (it may be convenient for other purposes different from mine)
Complete value for money
Modern facilities, the breakfast was amazing and the staff were very helpful.

Very good
We liked that the hotel was quiet, so we could get a good rest after the busy day in Berlin. Also we appreciated the parking as we were driving with our own car.
The hotel itself was good, but the envirement around it could have been more landscaped and cleaned up.
A fully integrated staff. They were friendly, their treatment was excellent
