Osthafen I
About
You know what? Osthafen I really surprised me. I mean, don't expect luxury at this 3-star spot, but there's something genuinely charming about the place that caught me off guard. The name literally means "East Harbor," and honestly, that tells you everything about the vibe here – it's got this unpretentious, working waterfront feel that I actually loved. When I first walked in, the lobby had that clean-but-lived-in atmosphere where you immediately know real people stay here, not just tourists passing through.
The rooms are exactly what you'd expect for the price point, but here's the thing – they're done thoughtfully. Sure, the furniture isn't going to win any design awards, but everything works properly (and I mean everything, which is rarer than it should be). The beds are surprisingly comfortable, and whoever chose the curtains actually understood that some of us need proper darkness to sleep. I was on the third floor and it was pleasantly quiet, though I'd imagine the street-facing rooms might pick up some traffic noise during rush hour. The bathroom was small but efficient – good water pressure, clean tiles, and the kind of lighting that doesn't make you look like you're dying at 6 AM.
What really won me over was the staff's approach – they're helpful without being hovering, you know? Check-in was smooth, and when I asked about local restaurants, the desk clerk gave me actual recommendations instead of just pointing to the tourist traps. The breakfast situation is pretty standard continental fare, but the coffee was legitimately good, and they had proper bread, not just sad croissants. Location-wise, you're not in the thick of the main tourist action, which honestly felt like a blessing after a few days of crowds. It's the kind of place where you can actually decompress in the evening. The 7.7 rating makes total sense to me – it's not trying to be something it's not, but it delivers solidly on what it promises. If you're looking for somewhere clean, comfortable, and straightforward without paying for amenities you won't use, this place gets it right.

Location
The apartment was very comfortable and cosy. We liked it very much, it's very good for staying there with your family and children. The location is great, well connected with U-ban, S-ban and buses.
The apartment is big, the beds are very comfortables, everything is clean and warm.
Great location, close to lots of cool things although the road was shut so might be a bit noisy when the road is open.
Apartment is well planned, several separate rooms are perfect for several guests. Public traffic is good, several restaurants and small shops near apartment. Great bakery nearby.
