About

First Impressions

Walking up to Park & City Alex on Höchste Straße, you immediately get that "this feels right" vibe — you know what I mean? It's one of those four-star places that doesn't try too hard but somehow nails everything. The building has this understated elegance that fits perfectly into the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg neighborhood, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering.

The Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Experience

Here's the thing about staying in Berlin — location is everything, and this hotel absolutely gets it right. Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg is where the city's creative energy really lives and breathes. You're walking distance from some of the best street art in Europe (the East Side Gallery is practically around the corner), and the local café scene is incredible. I mean, you can grab proper German breakfast at a neighborhood spot, then spend the afternoon exploring vintage shops and galleries. The area has this perfect mix of local Berlin life and tourist-friendly attractions that actually makes sense.

The Room

The room itself strikes that sweet spot between modern comfort and local character. Everything feels thoughtfully designed without being sterile — clean lines, good lighting, and windows that actually open (which, trust me, matters more than you'd think). The beds are properly comfortable, and there's enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details — decent outlets for charging devices, blackout curtains that work, and a bathroom that doesn't make you feel like you're in a submarine.

Dining and Amenities

The hotel's restaurant serves solid food that leans into both international options and local German flavors. Breakfast is substantial enough to fuel a day of exploring, though honestly, with all the amazing cafés in the neighborhood, you might find yourself venturing out more often than not. The staff seems to genuinely know the area well — they'll point you toward the good spots that locals actually frequent, not just the obvious tourist traps. There's also convenient parking available, which is actually a bigger deal in Berlin than you might expect.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to authentic Berlin while keeping you comfortable. Couples particularly seem to love it here, and I can see why — there's something romantic about exploring this vibrant neighborhood together, then coming back to a well-appointed base. The location score of 9.5 isn't just marketing fluff; you're genuinely in one of the best-positioned spots in the city. Whether you want to dive into Berlin's nightlife, explore its complex history, or just wander through markets and parks, everything feels accessible from here. It's the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving just feels wrong.

Early hotels booking in Berlin is essential during major events like the Berlinale Film Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city's renowned nightlife and cultural scene.

The apartment was fine for 2 persons. But there are 2.5 bedrooms(2 bedrooms and 1 dressing that was transformed to bedroom / kitchen in the way for the second bathroom ). The apartment has almost everything that you need to use. It is on the 5 floor but the elevator is working only one 3/6/9 floors and you need to go down the stairs 1 floor :) (it doesn't make to much sense in the words .. you will see it there :) )
