Pullman Berlin Schweizerhof
About
So I've stayed at the Pullman Berlin Schweizerhof a handful of times now, and honestly? It's one of those places that just gets five-star hospitality right without being stuffy about it. The building itself has this interesting mix going on – you can tell it's got history (we're talking serious Berlin pedigree here), but they've done the renovations thoughtfully. Not like those places where they strip out all the character and slap some generic modern fixtures on everything.
What really struck me the first time was how the staff actually remembers you. I mean, not in that forced "welcome back Mr. Johnson" way that feels rehearsed, but more like... they genuinely seem to care about making your stay work. The concierge team knows their stuff too – they steered me toward this incredible little spätzle place that I never would've found otherwise, tucked away in a courtyard you'd walk right past. Check-in is smooth, parking is handled (which, if you've driven in Berlin, you know is no small thing), and the rooms are spacious enough that you're not playing Tetris with your luggage.
The location is actually perfect for getting around without being right in the tourist chaos. You're close enough to the major sights that nothing feels like a trek, but far enough from Alexanderplatz that you can sleep without street noise filtering through the windows all night. The breakfast setup is solid – proper coffee, local breads, and they don't skimp on the fresh stuff. I've noticed they adjust things seasonally too, which is a nice touch that shows they're paying attention. The fitness center is better than most hotel gyms (actual weights, not just a couple sad treadmills), and if you're traveling for business, the meeting spaces feel professional without that sterile conference room vibe. Look, it's not cheap – this is five-star territory in Berlin, so you know what you're getting into price-wise. But for the quality and the service level, it delivers on what it promises. Plus, honestly, there's something to be said for staying somewhere that treats hospitality like an art form rather than just processed efficiency.

great hotel , good vibes very friendly and helpful staff Very very clean rooms , the spa and the indoor pool very good overall nothing to complain about .
Stunning lobby and restaurant area. Pool and area very tranquil. Bathrooms and slippers supplied in your room. Everywhere was spotless. Plenty of choice for breakfast. There is something for everyone and they have a chef making omelettes for you . All the bar team were lovely. Couldn’t do enough to make your stay even better. We were there every night of our 4 night stay, having food and drinks and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. It was close to Zoo, shopping centre etc. 12 o’clock check out is a big plus too. Would defiantly stop again.
The hotel was great. The staff was excellent!
Breakfast
Lovely hotel, comfortable room, friendly staff, great breakfast, good pool & fitness suite, close to amenities and public transport, right next to the Berlin Zoo.
Very nice decoration with artistic corners, luxurious, clean, quiet, just perfect . Also well mannered & accommodating staff. We had an amazing view over the city’s skyline. Loved the indoor pool!
The hotel has a beautiful lobby and bar, comfortable beds, a large indoor pool, and is perfectly located for exploring Berlin. I liked the coffee variety in the room. We had breakfast one morning and found it to be overpriced, especially for the quality of warm foods on offer (86 euros for 2 adults and a 10 year old).
Pool and bar
