Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm
About
First Impressions
Walking into Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm, you immediately know this isn't your typical business hotel. The lobby has this vibrant, almost playful energy that feels refreshingly different from the usual corporate chains. I mean, the RED brand really lives up to its name — there are bold pops of color everywhere, and the design feels like someone actually thought about making guests smile when they check in. It's a four-star property that doesn't take itself too seriously, which honestly makes it more memorable than some of the stuffier places I've stayed.
Prime Kudamm Location
The location on Joachimstaler Straße is honestly fantastic — you're right in the heart of Berlin's shopping district, just steps from Kurfürstendamm. What I love about this spot is that you can walk to the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in about five minutes, and the whole area buzzes with that classic Berlin energy. The couples who stay here clearly get it (they rate the location 9.2, which makes total sense), because you're close enough to everything but not drowning in tourist chaos. Plus, having Zoo station so nearby means you can hop on the S-Bahn and be anywhere in the city pretty quickly.
The Room Experience
The room design continues that playful RED aesthetic — think modern furniture with unexpected color accents and clever storage solutions. What struck me most was how they managed to make the space feel bigger than it actually is, probably through smart use of mirrors and lighting. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I'm picky about this), and the bathrooms have that sleek, almost Scandinavian feel. You know what's nice? The windows actually open, which isn't always a given in newer hotels, and the soundproofing works well considering you're on a busy Berlin street.
Breakfast and Amenities
The breakfast buffet is solid — not groundbreaking, but definitely above average for a chain hotel. They've got the usual suspects plus some local touches that show they're paying attention to where they are. The restaurant area has this communal vibe that works well, especially if you're traveling solo and don't want to eat in your room. I was surprised they offer private parking right at the hotel, which is actually pretty rare and valuable in this part of Berlin — most places just point you toward expensive public garages nearby.
Why Guests Love It
This hotel works because it strikes that sweet spot between style and substance without trying too hard. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there, which always makes a difference in how your stay feels. It's not trying to be the most luxurious place in Berlin, but it delivers on being fun, comfortable, and incredibly well-located. For the price point, you're getting way more personality than most four-star chains offer, plus that unbeatable Kudamm location that puts you right in the middle of everything worth seeing.
Apartments in Berlin provide travelers with an authentic local experience, allowing them to shop at traditional markets and cook with fresh ingredients from the renowned German culinary traditions.

Everything. The design of the hotel rooms and the lounge are is beautiful and really welcoming. Bed was very comfortable and there was everything you might need, including a steamer.
Staff were fantastic, breakfast was great
Not much of a choice… but I understand that as far as European breakfast is concerned it’s relatively good. Beans? I know it’s probably more of a uk thing :-)
location is just perfect pretty nice and clean, modern, nothing special they have an ok cafe and bar on the first floor
Bed very comfortable and bed linen and towels were excellent quality.
Room is Clean and comfortable, staff were so kind . Atmosphere in general was good.
Radisson RED Berlin Kudamm was my first experience with this brand. After a recent renovation, the entire hotel still smells fresh. I am enchanted by the decor of the rooms and the interior (the bar and lobby are large open spaces with a very cosy feel). I spent the first night in a room that I exchanged for another - a larger one due to a technical fault. The hotel staff were amiable and helpful. Connecting the TV to my YouTube channel has proven to be a nice convenience.
Breakfast was really good, a lot of options to choose from - sweet, salty etc.
