Raja Jooseppi Apartments
About
You know what surprised me about Raja Jooseppi Apartments? The name makes it sound way more formal than it actually is. I mean, when I first heard "Raja Jooseppi," I was expecting something pretty grand, but honestly, it's more like staying at a friend's well-kept place than some stuffy hotel. The whole setup has this relaxed, lived-in vibe that actually works really well if you're not looking for marble lobbies and concierge desks.
The apartments themselves are solid – I'd call them properly comfortable without being fancy. You get real kitchens (not those sad hotel kitchenettes with two burners), which is honestly a game-changer if you're staying more than a couple nights. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings because there's something nice about having coffee in your pajamas instead of getting dressed for the hotel restaurant. The rooms feel like actual apartments, not hotel rooms trying to pretend they're apartments, if that makes sense. Space-wise, you're not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and the beds are surprisingly good – I'm picky about mattresses and slept better than I expected.
What really sells this place is how it just... works. Check-in was straightforward, no drama with keys or confusing instructions. The building's quiet enough that you're not hearing every conversation in the hallway, but it's not so isolated that you feel cut off from everything. I noticed they keep things clean without that overwhelming chemical smell some places have. The Wi-Fi actually works properly too, which honestly shouldn't be noteworthy in 2024 but here we are. Look, it's a 3-star place with an 8.3 rating, and that rating feels about right – it's doing the fundamentals really well without trying to be something it's not. If you want room service and daily housekeeping and someone to carry your bags, this probably isn't your spot. But if you want a comfortable, no-nonsense place to actually stay (not just sleep), where you can spread out a bit and feel settled, Raja Jooseppi delivers on that promise. It's the kind of place I'd book again without overthinking it.

Our stay was wonderful. The apartment is centrally located with access to the U, teams, and many local sights. The staff was fantastic, stowing our bags for us when we arrived early and helping to get us in early.
Close proximity to tram and underground rail.
Clean, warm and comfortable
Near metro station Comfortable bed Separate room and living room Kitchen with all needed + Washing machine Heating working well Comfortable cot bed provided for a baby
The location was brilliant, easy access to the underground system. The apartment was spacious, well equipped, and has character.
The room is clean and located in the centre of Berlin, from where we can easily reach the underground station for city sightseeing. Parking the car should not be a problem. Most of the facilities meet our requirements and the living room is not big enough for a family with children, but it is ok for just staying overnight. The kitchen is small but meets our needs.
We were given keys by the manager and directions to an apartment about 50m away. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for a stay in Berlin. Washing machine, dishwasher, kitchen etc. The location was excellent. Opposite a main memorial to the Berlin wall and opposite a train station. It was also around the corner from trams to easily get to the main train stations so navigating Berlin was easy. We were also able to walk to a few locations we wanted to visit whilst in town. There was also cafes close by and a couple of grocery stores (large and small) for supplies. Considering the price, it was good value.
Incredible position near the a piece of wall
Good location- walking distance to subway, cafe, supermarket.
Spacious, everything we needed & more. Would be great for families or groups. Very close to the Bernauer Strasse & walk into the centre. Very grateful for the last minute car park too.
