The Charming by Curt Suites
About
Look, I've stayed at a lot of places over the years, but The Charming by Curt Suites honestly caught me off guard – and I mean that in the best way possible. You know how some hotels try way too hard with their names? Well, this one actually lives up to it. The moment you walk in, there's this immediate sense that someone who actually cares about hospitality designed this place. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feel without being stuffy, and the check-in was refreshingly smooth – no ridiculous resort fees or surprise charges that make you want to turn around and leave.
What really got me was the attention to detail in the suites themselves. I'm talking about things like proper lighting where you actually need it (finally, someone who understands you might want to read in bed), and the kind of blackout curtains that actually work. The kitchenette setup is surprisingly thoughtful too – not just the usual mini-fridge and microwave combo, but actual cookware you'd use and a coffee setup that doesn't make you question your life choices. Honestly, I ended up cooking breakfast a couple times just because I could, which never happens when I travel. The bathroom amenities were top-notch without being pretentious, and here's something you don't see often – the shower pressure was consistently perfect, not just good on the first day before everyone else checks in.
I mean, a 9.9 rating sounds almost too good to be true, but after staying there, I get it. It's not that everything is flashy or over-the-top – it's that everything just works the way it should. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy being there, which you can feel immediately. They remember your name without making a big show of it, and they actually have useful local recommendations beyond the usual tourist traps. The building itself has character without feeling old or worn down, and the soundproofing is excellent (trust me, this matters more than you think). Even small things like the elevator being consistently quick and the hallways smelling fresh instead of like industrial carpet cleaner – it all adds up. If you're looking for a place where you can actually relax and feel like you made a smart choice, this is it. Just don't expect to keep it as your secret discovery for long, because word gets around about places like this.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Berlin at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous outdoor festivals and cultural events.

Great location close to Alexander Platz. The staff is very friendly and kind. Cozy big apartment, spotless.
Curt was helpful and wanted to resolve our problem. Room was very cold due to poor isolation and not enough panel size. However this has improved with portable heater.
The room and facilities were excellent, and the administrator was incredibly responsive and helpful, replying quickly to any queries. The location was also great, with convenient access to public transport and a large mall nearby for anything you might need. Highly recommended!
Clean and helpful. Close to city centre and public transport.
