The Danziger, 2 unique lofty style units in PrenzlauerBerg
About
First Impressions
Walking up to The Danziger, 2 unique lofty style units in PrenzlauerBerg on Danzigerstraße, you immediately get that "this is different" feeling. It's not your typical hotel — honestly, it feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend's place who happens to have incredible taste. The building itself has that classic Berlin character, but once you step inside, you realize you're in for something special. I mean, there are only two units here, so you're getting something pretty exclusive without the stuffy atmosphere of those big chain places.
The Prenzlauer Berg Experience
The location is honestly what sold me on this place. Berlin has so many neighborhoods, but Prenzlauer Berg — well, it's where locals actually want to live. You're surrounded by those tree-lined streets with cafés that aren't trying too hard, vintage shops that actually have good stuff, and restaurants where you'll hear more German than English. The property sits in what's genuinely considered the top-rated area in the city, and after spending time here, I totally get why couples rate it so highly for romantic getaways.
The Space Itself
The lofty style isn't just marketing speak — these units actually have that airy, converted warehouse feel that makes you want to just sprawl out and relax. Each room has been thoughtfully designed with high ceilings and industrial touches that somehow feel warm rather than cold. You know what I appreciated? The attention to detail in the furnishings — everything feels intentional, not like someone just ordered a bunch of stuff from a hotel catalog. The four-star rating makes sense when you see how much thought went into creating spaces that feel both stylish and livable.
Why the Neighborhood Matters
Here's something you might not realize until you stay here — Prenzlauer Berg puts you within walking distance of some of Berlin's best kept secrets. There's this amazing bakery just two blocks away that locals line up for on Sunday mornings, and the weekend farmers market at Kollwitzplatz is actually worth getting up early for. The area has that perfect balance where you feel like you're experiencing authentic Berlin life, but you're not stuck somewhere inconvenient. Plus, the transport connections are solid — you can get to Mitte or Kreuzberg without any hassle when you want to explore other parts of the city.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is the combination of intimacy and location that's hard to find in Berlin. With only two units, you're never dealing with crowded elevators or fighting for space at breakfast — it's more like having your own private retreat in one of the city's most desirable neighborhoods. The 9.3 location score isn't just a number; it reflects how this spot gives you easy access to both the laid-back Prenzlauer Berg lifestyle and the rest of Berlin's attractions. Whether you're planning a romantic weekend or just want to experience Berlin like someone who actually lives here, this place delivers that authentic neighborhood feel without sacrificing comfort or style.
Hotels in Berlin offer guests the perfect blend of German efficiency and modern comfort, with many featuring historical tour concierge services and traditional beer garden experiences to enhance the authentic German cultural experience.

It is located very closed to public transports, there are many restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store near the building. The views from the terrrace are lovely, the kitchen is fully equiped with coffee machine, kettle and so on. There is complimentary tea. There is TV with Netflix and the apartment is quite bright, spacious and clean. We stayed in the small apartment but it is spacious enough, the layout is quite good. I was delighted with the flat and I strongly recommend it to my colleges travelling for work next year to Berlin.
It was a comfortable stay at a good location. Clean & comfy.

Spacious living room
Spacious apartment with all the amenities, great location close to such nice areas of Berlin
Amazing location . Nice quiet area and not far from all amenities.
It was good apartment in good location. Excellent for 2 friends or 2 couples. Everything was tip-top!
Spotless clean and beautiful apartment. Convenient location!
The location is great. Near eberswalder strasse, near 2 tram lines, near lovely children's parks and restaurants. There are several supermarkets nearby as well as plenty of places to get takeout as well as spatkaufs and bakeries. The balcony is really nice, lovely views of Berlin. The flat has a lovely open plan living area and was very clean. There is enough equipment in the kitchen to cook with as well as a coffee machine and a nespresso. The washer and dryer were very useful if you don't want to pack loads of clothes, and there is also a dishwasher. We stayed for a week and the host gave me some cleaning products as it was nice to clean the bathroom and toilet once or twice. There was also a vacuum cleaner which was helpful as the kids got quite sandy in the parks. Lovely to have a bath for them and the shower is not as annoying as some have suggested. The lift was also great when coming in and out with strollers. The beds were comfortable.
