primeflats – Apartment Kattegat Berlin-Wedding
About
First Impressions
Walking up to primeflats – Apartment Kattegat Berlin-Wedding, you'll notice it sits quietly on a residential street in Wedding — and honestly, that's part of its charm. This three-star apartment hotel doesn't try to wow you with flashy lobbies or doormen, but there's something refreshingly straightforward about the whole setup. The building fits right into the neighborhood's mix of old Berlin character and modern practicality, which I actually found more authentic than staying in some touristy area.
Location & Neighborhood
Here's what I love about Wedding — it's real Berlin without the crowds. You're technically in Mitte (the address says so), but you get that genuine local feel that's harder to find these days. The area has been quietly transforming over the past few years, with new cafes and shops popping up alongside traditional Turkish bakeries and corner stores. It's about a 15-minute ride to the main tourist spots, but honestly, I spent half my time just wandering the neighborhood and discovering places that don't make it into guidebooks. Couples seem to really get this vibe — there's something romantic about having your own little corner of the city.
The Apartment Experience
What you're getting here is essentially your own Berlin apartment for however long you're staying. The space feels lived-in rather than hotel-sterile, with a proper kitchen where you can actually cook (not just reheat things) and enough room to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The furnishing is modern but not trying too hard — think clean lines and neutral colors that won't give you a headache after a few days. I mean, after spending all day walking around Berlin, you want somewhere that feels like home, not another Instagram backdrop.
Practical Perks
The kitchen situation is genuinely useful — there's a proper fridge, stovetop, and all the basics you need if you want to grab groceries from the local markets. Wedding has some fantastic food shops, and being able to make your own breakfast or late-night snack makes a real difference to your travel budget. The Wi-Fi works well (I was working remotely part of the time), and having a washing machine means you can pack lighter. These aren't glamorous features, but they're the kind of things that make a longer stay actually comfortable rather than just manageable.
Why Guests Love It
Recent guests keep mentioning the location, and I get why — you're close enough to everything that matters but far enough away to feel like you're living in Berlin rather than just visiting it. The whole setup works especially well for couples who want their own space and the freedom to come and go as they please. It's not about room service or concierge recommendations; it's about having a proper base where you can settle in and explore the city at your own pace. For the price point and the experience you get, it's honestly hard to beat if you prefer independence over being pampered.

The apartment was spacious and clean. Comfortable too.
Cute place, close to transport
Location wasnt bad. 10-15 Euros in taxi but also train wasnt far away but were to lazy to use the train! It was a decent size for 7 lads there for the Euros football. Local shops are good and a few 24/7 places. The beds were pretty comfy. We didnt spent that much time in the apartment if im honest.
Mi è piaciuta la posizione della casa e l’arredamento.
Great location a three minute walk from the SBahn station and a twenty minute walk to the apartment of our family that we were visiting. Huge, clean apartment in a quiet street but with a couple of supermarkets very close
We got to the apartment very late on Sunday. We went out for sightseeing and came back later at night. The apartment is clean, and we got everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing time in Berlin. I would definitely recommend the apartment and the company.
The apartment itself was good for the price and the location. It was spacious and good for a group of people to hang out.
Good size flat with all you need for a short stay.
The flat is beautiful, clean, bathroom is newly renovated, kitchen has all equipment. No noise from the street at all (even the street is not busy at all), so you can sleep well. Good beds, not too soft not too hard. It's not far away from public transport, fairly close to city center. There is reasonable number of restaurants and groceries in surrounding area.
Sehr große Wohnung, ideal für 6 Personen. Sehr gute Lage mit 5 Minuten Fußweg bis zur S-Bahn-Station. Gute Ausstattung, Zugang über Nuki-App.
