The Lachmann Group Apartment, 2BR, one living room, 2 bathrooms, family friendly
About
You know what's funny about this place? The name makes it sound like some corporate housing situation, but honestly, it's nothing like that. The Lachmann Group apartment sits right on this quiet residential street in Kreuzberg that feels totally authentic – I mean, you've got Turkish bakeries on one corner and vintage record shops on the other. It's the kind of neighborhood where you actually hear locals speaking German instead of just tourists asking for directions in English.
The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for Berlin standards. Two proper bedrooms that can actually fit real suitcases (not just backpacks), and the living room has this big dining table where you can spread out maps or just eat way too much döner. The bathrooms are clean and modern – one's got a proper shower, the other's more compact but totally functional. I loved that they didn't go overboard with minimalist design nonsense; there are actually enough outlets, hooks for towels, and drawer space for your stuff. The kitchen has everything you'd need if you hit up the weekend market at Maybachufer, which is honestly just a fifteen-minute walk through some pretty great streets.
What really sold me on this area was how easy it is to get around without feeling like you're in tourist central. Görlitzer Bahnhof is close enough that you can hop on the U1 and be at Warschauer Straße in minutes, but far enough that you're not dealing with the weekend party crowds stumbling past your windows at 3 AM. The street itself stays pretty quiet – mostly residents and the occasional delivery truck. During the day you'll hear kids playing in the courtyard and maybe some construction (it's Berlin, there's always construction somewhere), but nothing that actually bothers you. I actually found the neighborhood sounds kind of comforting after a few days of sightseeing in the more chaotic parts of the city.
The check-in was straightforward – they send you clear instructions ahead of time, which you'll appreciate after a long travel day. Parking can be a bit tricky if you're driving, but honestly, you probably don't need a car here anyway. The 8.3 rating feels about right; it's not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works well and the location gives you that perfect balance of local flavor and practical access to the rest of Berlin. If you're traveling with family or a group and want to actually live in Berlin for a few days instead of just visiting it, this place delivers on that promise without breaking the bank.
Visitors often choose Berlin apartments over traditional hotels because they provide more space, kitchen facilities, and the opportunity to live like a local in this magnificent German capital.

Good value for money
Size, ground floor location, proximity to park (we had a pet), size of the apartment, 2 toilets.
Floor did not look like it has been mopped, only vacuumed.
Great accommodation for two couples. Really helpful hosts to look after you
Spacious and very clean. Good locks so felt very secure
Nothing to dislike
City break
Moriel was super helpful with settling us into the apartment. Provided us with great advice as to how to get around. The space was exactly as described.
No alternative provided to a very soft pillow.
Good place located in the residential part of Berlin, away from the main hustle and bustle. Convenient commute to town e
Clean, comfortable place. Beds were comfortable, all amenities are present.
It was at ground floor hence you could hear ppl talking outside the window.
A home away from home in Berlin
The property was amazing. So spacious and well fitted out. My son and I both got sick on the trip and had to spend a couple of days resting at home. We had everything we could have needed and it took any pressure off knowing that we could just relax and almost be like at home. Moriel, who met us at the apartment, was so lovely and understanding of our situation.
The only negative was the location - it was just a bit far away from the main sites for navigating with a young child. Would be perfect for a couple though because there are lots of coffee shops, restaurants etc within walking distance.
Would be happy to stay here again
In a good location - near the underground train station and in a good residential area, near the canal, good restaurants and local shops and market. Comfortable and very clean, everything we needed. Moriel met us with keys and was very helpful.
We’ll equipped, clean apartment in a fantastic neighborhood

Comfortable and quiet
Straightforward and comfortable.Good base to explore from. Comfortable beds
Couple of missing items like corkscrew etc. Iron wasn't working
Superb
The apartment was within 5 minutes walk of the U-bahn rail station, so was an ideal location for sightseeing around Berlin. There was a wonderful bakery a short walk away for getting fresh croissants for breakfast. There was a large supermarket within10 minutes walk for buying food essentials.
