The Paul, Cozy 3 Bed room apartment, group & family friendly, central location
About
You know what caught me off guard about The Paul? I was expecting some cramped Berlin apartment conversion, but this three-bedroom place actually feels like someone's home – if that someone happened to have really good taste and enough space for seven people without everyone stepping on each other's toes.
The location on Paul Robeson Straße is honestly perfect if you want that authentic Berlin residential vibe without being stuck in the middle of nowhere. Pankow's got this interesting mix going on – it's residential enough that you're not dealing with tourist crowds stumbling past your windows at 3 AM, but you're still just a quick S-Bahn ride from Mitte or Friedrichshain. I mean, the Pankow station is maybe a ten-minute walk, and from there you can get pretty much anywhere without the hassle of changing trains five times. There's this great little bakery about two blocks down that does proper German breakfast rolls – the kind of place where locals actually line up on Sunday mornings.
What really works about this apartment is how they've set it up for groups without making it feel like a hostel. The three bedrooms are actually separate rooms (not just clever curtain dividers), and there's enough common space that you can spread out without feeling cramped. The kitchen's properly equipped too – I'm talking real plates, not plastic tourist stuff, and enough counter space to actually cook if you want to hit up one of those amazing Berlin markets. The whole place has this lived-in comfort that makes sense when you see that 8.9 rating, honestly. You can tell they've thought about the little things that matter when you're traveling with family or a group of friends who've been together maybe a bit too long already.
The neighborhood itself is one of those Berlin areas that feels genuinely local – you'll hear more German than English on the streets, which I actually love. There's a decent döner place around the corner (because it's Berlin, there's always a decent döner place around the corner), and if you walk about fifteen minutes toward the center, you hit some really solid restaurants that haven't been completely overtaken by the tourist scene yet. Parking can be a bit tricky if you're driving – it's mostly street parking and you know how that goes in Berlin – but honestly, you probably don't need a car anyway.
The only thing I'd mention is that it's a residential building, so don't expect hotel-style service or someone at a front desk ready to solve your problems at midnight. But the check-in process was smooth enough, and there's something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels more like borrowing a friend's place than being processed through another identical hotel room. For groups or families who want space to actually relax and experience Berlin like you're living there temporarily rather than just passing through, this place makes a lot of sense.

Highly reccomended.
Amazing place in great location, very close to the center and the metro. Shops and restaurants just around. We even parked straight in front of the building. Friendly check in girl, let us in in the middle of the night! Fast internet allowed us to work there. Really good choice!

Spacious and comfortable apartment close to the U Bahn and tram
Loved the space and the roominess. It was well located and fairly quiet at night
The bedding - would have liked a top sheet as it was too hot to sleep with a doona. Overall it was a fantastic place though.
Really enjoyed ourselves, friendly lady met us on arrival. Would definitely stay again.
Property was exactly as described. Extremely clean and had everything we needed. Was very warm once we put the radiators on. We were sent breakfast recommendations. Loads of places to eat in the area and right by transport.
Nothing.
Great!

One of my best stays
Spacious and great location
Everything was great. Could do with some heaters in the winter but everything else was perfect
A wonderful and spacious apartment, with great access to transport.
Great location for coffee, breakfasts, meals, tram amd U Bahn. Ilya met us on arrival, helped us into teh property and passed on keys. He was also kind enough to recommend a few local amenities and eating places - a great start.
Exceptional
This is a very clean, modern spacious apartment offering all the facilities you need to cook dinner or wash your clothes. Just like getting home. It's in a safe area close to the underground and trains, supermarkets and shops. When receiving the keys, Anastasja was very friendly and helpful with local advice, which came in very handy! It's definitely a great stay!
