Villa Rogge
About
First Impressions
Walking up to Villa Rogge, you immediately get the sense this isn't your typical Berlin hotel. The three-star property sits quietly on Rüdesheimer Straße in Reinickendorf, and honestly, that's part of its charm — it feels more like staying at a well-appointed guesthouse than a commercial hotel. The building has this understated elegance that doesn't try too hard, which I actually appreciated after dealing with some of the flashier places in the city center.
Location & Neighborhood
Here's the thing about Reinickendorf — most tourists overlook it completely, but couples seem to get it (they've rated the location 8.8, which tells you something). You're far enough from the tourist crowds to feel like you're experiencing real Berlin, but still connected enough that getting into Mitte or Charlottenburg isn't a hassle. The neighborhood has this residential vibe with tree-lined streets, and there's something refreshing about waking up somewhere that feels authentically local. Plus, and this matters more than you'd think, there's free parking right on site — try finding that in central Berlin without paying through the nose.
The Rooms
The accommodations at Villa Rogge strike that sweet spot between comfortable and refined without being pretentious about it. My room was well-proportioned with clean lines and thoughtful touches that showed someone actually cared about the guest experience. The furnishings felt quality — not cutting-edge design hotel stuff, but solid pieces that work well together. What I really noticed was the attention to details like proper lighting for reading and enough outlets where you actually need them. The bathroom was modern and spotless, with a shower that had decent water pressure (you know how hit-or-miss that can be).
Service & Atmosphere
The staff here operates with this quiet efficiency that I found really appealing — they're helpful without being hovering, professional without being stiff. There's a warmth to the place that feels genuine rather than scripted. The common areas have this relaxed sophistication that invites you to actually use them, not just walk through them quickly. I mean, you can tell when a hotel is designed for people who are actually traveling versus one that's just trying to look good in photos, and Villa Rogge definitely falls into the former category.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.6 rating, this place clearly gets something right, and I think it comes down to delivering exactly what it promises without any unnecessary flourishes. You get a comfortable, well-located base for exploring Berlin that doesn't break the bank or overwhelm you with amenities you don't need. The free parking alone makes it worth considering if you're driving, but beyond that practical advantage, there's just this sense that Villa Rogge understands what travelers actually want — a clean, comfortable place to rest that feels more personal than corporate. It's the kind of spot you'd recommend to friends who want to experience Berlin like locals rather than tourists.

10 Minute walk to S Bahn to Berlin which was perfect.
Great apartment and value for money. Frohnau, place where is the house, is very sharming and safe with kind people. Caffee bars, grocery stores, bakery, pharmacy, train station (S Bahn S1) etc. are within 10 minutes walk. House has all you need for your short and long stay. Kitchen is great equipped. Beds in bedroom very comfy. Mr. Thomas, the owner of the house is nice and kind and explained us everything upon our late arrival. Would like to stay there again. Highly recommended.
Quiet location in beautiful neighbourhood, yet good access to public transport. Spacious, clean, comfortable apartment. Well-equipped kitchen. Easy communication with host.
Located in a beautiful suburb with lovely leafy trees, beautiful houses and local food and shop area. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The gardens and outdoor facilities looked great although we didn’t use them.
This is a home away from home and helped us understand the life style of people in Germany. The neighbourhood was very quiet and we had lots of good memories of the place.
Comfy beds, nice kitchen and beautiful clean apartment. New appliances. It had everything that we needed for our stay
