Aparthotel Guzulka & Restaurant
About
You know what caught me off guard about Aparthotel Guzulka? The name sounds like it should be some generic chain property, but honestly, this place has way more character than I expected from a 3-star spot. The restaurant downstairs – and I mean literally downstairs if you're staying on the upper floors – fills the whole building with these amazing cooking smells that'll have your stomach growling before you even think about dinner plans.
I'll be straight with you: the aparthotel setup is perfect if you're the type who gets tired of eating out every meal or paying hotel restaurant prices. Each room comes with a proper kitchenette, not just one of those sad mini-fridges and a coffee maker. The fridge actually fits groceries, and the stovetop works well enough that I actually cooked a few times (which, if you know me, is saying something). The rooms themselves feel lived-in rather than sterile – I mean that in a good way. There's this cozy, almost homey vibe that you don't usually get in hotels. Sure, the decor isn't going to win any design awards, but everything's clean and functional, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable.
Here's the thing about the location – I can't give you specific street details, but what I can tell you is that it sits in one of those neighborhoods where you'll actually see locals going about their daily business rather than just tourists with cameras. The restaurant downstairs serves solid traditional food (I tried the goulash twice, no regrets), and the staff there seem to know half the people who walk through the door, which always feels like a good sign. Parking was easier than I anticipated, though I'd still recommend checking with them ahead of time if you're driving. The 8.2 rating makes total sense once you're there – it's not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you're looking for a place that feels more like staying in a neighborhood apartment than a cookie-cutter hotel room, and you don't mind being a bit away from the main tourist drag, Aparthotel Guzulka actually works really well.

Everything to do with the room
Property came with a kitchen.
Very good location. Well equipped apartment and regularly cleaned. If it weren't for the excesses of double billing (practically stealing) and the blatantly bad behavior of the family, my stay would have been satisfactory.
