Apartment Berlin | Garden, Terrace, Nature
About
You know what really surprised me about this place? It's tucked away on Paul-Junius-Straße in Lichtenberg, which honestly isn't where most tourists end up – and that's exactly why I loved it. This apartment feels like you're staying at a friend's place who just happens to have incredible taste in neighborhoods. The moment you step onto that terrace, you get it. There's this unexpected green space that makes you forget you're in Berlin for a hot minute, with mature trees creating this natural canopy that's perfect for morning coffee or evening wine (I mean, I definitely tested both scenarios).
The apartment itself hits that sweet spot between homey and polished – it's clearly been set up by someone who actually travels and knows what you need. The kitchen's properly stocked, not just for show, and the garden access is a game-changer if you're tired of cramped hotel rooms. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets in the evenings, even though you're still well-connected to the city center. Lichtenberg has this residential vibe where locals are just going about their lives, kids playing in courtyards, that sort of authentic Berlin rhythm you don't find in Mitte anymore. The S-Bahn connections are actually solid from here – you can hit Alexanderplatz in about 20 minutes, but coming home feels like escaping to this green pocket of the city.
Here's the thing about staying in this part of Berlin: you'll discover those neighborhood bakeries where the staff starts recognizing you after two days, and there's this unpretentious local scene that feels refreshingly real. The terrace becomes your private retreat after long days of sightseeing – I found myself hanging out there way more than I expected, especially during those long summer evenings when Berlin's light just lingers forever. Parking isn't a nightmare like it is closer to the center, and the whole setup just works for people who want to experience Berlin beyond the tourist bubble. It's the kind of place where you'll find yourself planning to come back, maybe for a longer stay next time.
To book a hotel in Berlin during the famous Berlin International Film Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts culture enthusiasts and history lovers from around the world.

A lovely paradise with the city awaiting you around the corner
The host was super nice and always very helpful. The house was very clean and equipped with everything needed. We even were allowed to use the bbq and helped with it by the host. It’s super quiet and the garden is lovely!! Great escape in the middle of the city. Absolutely recommendable!!!
Exceptional
This little cottage is honestly a piece of art for those that notice things.
Exceptional
1st of all the owner was super. He provided everything promptly. The location is nearby almost all big groceries and restaurants. Peaceful quiet place.
🥹 would be excellent if the roof is higher. That is the 1st thing you need think about once you wake up.
Cosy and surprisingly roomy stay in a really convenient but peaceful location.
It was in a very convenient location, there were several tram stops within a few minutes walk ,so we could easily get around to the tourist sights and also we could walk to lots of restaurants and bars. There was also a Lidl very close by to buy some supplies for our breakfast. But it also it was in a peaceful location so we could have a good nights sleep . The bathroom was small but well laid out and the shower was very good. The kitchen area was well equipped with dishes, cutlery, glasses ,pans etc and there was an electric hob with 2 zones so we could have made a simple meal if we wanted to. There was a comfy sofa to relax on . We were there in winter so didn’t make use of the terrace or outside dining facilities. Our first night was a bit chilly in the house(there was a small and not very efficient electric fan heater) and it was due to get a lot colder during our stay so we asked the owner for more blankets for the bed . He brought them to the house very promptly and also a much better fan heater . After that we were really warm and cosy, even though it was below freezing outside and we had snow ! We would happily return to this garden house, winter or summer.
The bed was on a mezzanine level so the ceiling up there was very low and we had to be careful not to hit our heads. However we got used to it after a few days! And the bed was very comfortable.

Super nice and responsive host and a beautiful apartment. Very cosy and convenient
Nothing comes to mind
Perfect for a long weekend.
Lovely little place with excellent facilities. It was nice to be able to make breakfast and easy to get into the centre.
Great location
Great location and well equipped accommodation. There was a Dyson heater, pod machine and fridge. The bathroom and hallway were lovely and the entire place was nicely furnished.
The bed was extremely soft and we like a very firm mattress. It was a little pricey to what we usually expect when staying in Berlin. The tv needs a new cat 5 cable to connect to the internet. We also could not connect to the internet as the password was invalid. This didn't bother us so much but was a little frustrating.
Quirky Cabin!
Beautiful accommodation, with lots of special finishing touches. Enjoyed the location, still very convinient, but quiet. Near a great Viking Rock Bar! Comfy bed and sofa.
Beautiful accommodation, with lots of special finishing touches. Enjoyed the location, still very convinient, but quiet. Near a great Viking Rock Bar! Comfy bed and sofa. The communication from the owner could have been better when we had some problems. It was quite cold, despite the heater, but our stay was in October. We were provided with extra blankets when we asked for some.
A very good place to crash for a few days.
Very nice place, close to transportation and very calm. Cozy inside with a very correct internet connection. Fully equipped kitchen and nice welcome water bottles.
The two beds are in the same room - one in a mezzanine and one very comfortable couch. But looking at the pictures we thought they were in two different rooms. The mezzanine mattress was a bit too soft for my taste. The comforter were a bit small.
Lovely cabin, perfect for a romantic stay but plan for warm clothes if staying in the winter.
The cabin is lovely, good location for travelling to center & airport
Not enough heating, we mentioned to the host that the bathroom heating was not working but no solution were suggested.
