Apartments Issa
About
You know what? I wasn't expecting much when I first pulled up to Apartments Issa on Drebkauer Straße – I mean, Reinickendorf isn't exactly the Berlin neighborhood that makes it onto postcards. But honestly, that turned out to be one of its biggest advantages. This place sits in a genuinely residential area where you'll hear more German than English on the streets, and there's something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like actual Berlin rather than tourist Berlin.
The apartments themselves are pretty solid for what you're paying – nothing fancy, but everything works and it's cleaner than you'd expect from a 3-star place. I actually appreciated that the kitchen had real dishes and cookware instead of those flimsy plastic things you usually get. The wifi was decent enough for video calls (I tested it, obviously), and the beds are firmer than typical German hotel beds, which was fine by me. What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night – you're far enough from the main drag that you won't hear traffic, but close enough to Wittenau U-Bahn that getting into Mitte takes maybe 20 minutes. The walk to the station is about 8 minutes through a pretty typical residential neighborhood with a few small shops and a decent bakery that opens early.
Here's the thing though – this isn't the kind of place where you'll have a concierge or room service, and check-in can be a bit... well, let's say make sure you confirm your arrival time because there's not always someone at the front desk. But the staff I did meet were genuinely helpful, especially when I needed directions to find a pharmacy on Sunday (which, if you know Berlin, is its own adventure). The 7.3 rating feels about right – it's not going to blow you away, but it delivers on what it promises. I'd actually recommend it if you're the type of traveler who wants to experience Berlin more like a temporary resident than a tourist, or if you're planning longer stays where having a proper kitchen matters. Plus, parking is way easier here than anywhere central, which saved me probably 15 euros a day in fees.

Economical pied à terre during a weekend sports event
Clean and functional
Only stairs, no lift. Twin beds needed rearranging. Not enough power sockets near bed.
Very good
Very clean, nice room.
One of the outdoor blinds did not open, could only ventilate through 1 of the windows (warm day, no AC).
Very good
Calm surroundings. Comfortable beds. Helpful owner.
Cheap, new but needs improvements
Good: host nice, bed comfy, new building, easy to find parking space on the street
Bad: end room has no internet, one room had no remote, only one big towel given per couple, no shampoo, old soap and food in the fridge left, the best was one person took shower for 3 min and the water did not drain- water flooded the whole bathroom, room and half corridor- fun to clean by three people. 3/4 people did not shower. Please build a small wall between shower part and the toilet- this should solve it and save all the hassle.
Superb
It was very nice and all the facilities were available with a very nice location near many bus stations
Everything was ok
Clean,parking. New everything.
Good for a long-term stay
Perfect if you plan to stay a little longer in Berlin. It is equipped with a mini kitchen aisle and all the necessary utensils which is a big plus. The bath has an over-head shower and the beds were comfy. It's located in the north, but easy to reach by car or tram. The surrounding space is a quiet neighborhood and there are multiple shops for snacks or a late night dinner in the area. If you need any recommendations, ask the owner! He was so lovely and helpful.
Exceptional
very new building, nice and helpful colleagues. You can cook here as well. Also close to the bus station.
Super place to stay
It is a new place and everything is chosen and made with love. Quality of everything is high. There is no reception in house, so for check in and all services the owner must be contacted over booking.com, but the reaction is fast. The shower is absolutly great, a very big rain shower with sufficient water and optionally a hand shower as well. The heating is a floor heating, which is nice to handle and gives you nice warm feet. All the room is white so it is and looks very clean. Parking around the house is public, free and I always found a spot.
The apartment is solid if only the owners could improve on the areas I mentioned
The property was in an ideal location for my meeting on 24th March. However, the room was not thoroughly cleaned, I was even scared to use the bath tumbler, plates, etc. The tumbler was not clean, the toilet was not clean, and it had hair from shaving.. the floor was dirty. I couldn't sleep properly because people making noise I can not recommend this place to anyone
