Arbio I Design Apart in Charlottenburg Berlin
About
You know what caught me off guard about Arbio I Design Apart? The name makes it sound all fancy and boutique-ish, but honestly, it's more like staying in someone's really well-thought-out apartment in one of Berlin's most lived-in neighborhoods. I mean that in the best way possible – Charlottenburg has this authentic Berlin vibe that tourists often miss because they're all cramming into Mitte or Friedrichshain.
The design apartments here are actually pretty clever. They've got this minimalist thing going on, but it doesn't feel cold or sterile like some places try to pull off. Everything you need is there – proper kitchen setup if you want to hit the weekend markets (and you should, because the one on Winterfeldtplatz is just a short U-Bahn ride away), decent workspace if you're stuck answering emails, and the kind of lighting that doesn't make you look dead in video calls. The 3-star rating is about right – it's not trying to be the Adlon, but the 7.5 guest rating tells you something important: people leave satisfied because their expectations were met, not crushed by overselling.
Here's what I really appreciated though – Charlottenburg itself. You're walking distance from Savignyplatz, which has some of the best little cafes and bookshops that locals actually use. The S-Bahn connections are solid, so you can get to the tourist stuff when you want to, but you can also just wander around residential streets where people are walking their dogs and going about their actual lives. The neighborhood gets quiet at night (well, Berlin-quiet, which still has some street noise), but during the day there's this nice hum of activity. I found myself grabbing coffee and pastries from the same bakery three mornings in a row because the woman behind the counter started recognizing me – that's the kind of neighborhood feel you get here. Parking can be a bit of a hunt if you're driving, but honestly, you don't need a car in this part of the city anyway. The whole setup works if you want to feel like you're living in Berlin for a few days rather than just checking off sights from a guidebook.

It was well-cleaned before arrival, the decor is mostly nice, the bed is decent, and the location is calm. Would be OK for a 1-3 night stay.
The apartments are located in an excellent location, but it is a very noisy place - renovations were carried out behind the wall every morning from 7 am. The window overlooks the patio where there is a communal grill, and almost every day companies have lunches and meetings right next to you, literally 2 meters away. Also in the bathroom there is very noisy ventilation, which can only be turned off in the electrical panel together with the light in the bathroom. The apartment is very good overall, but it feels like it is not being taken care of, unfortunately.
Good neighbourhood
Everything
What a great apartment! We had a wonderful time in Berlin and that was partly due to the pleasant stay. The apartment has everything you need and more. It has a great bed, clean sheets, a good sofa, smart TV, on which you can log in to your own (Netflix) account. There's enough equipment in the kitchen to prepare your own meal, but why should you bother? The location is absolutely fantastic! The Kurfürsterdamm within walking distance (1.5 km) The U-Bahn 2 and 7 nearby, from were you can travel across Berlin. There are some hidden treasure restaurants in the vicinity. For breakfast or shopping in Charlottenburg, go out, to the left and to the left again there are countless shops and venues. In the evening you can sit outside the appartment in the courtyard, the only thing there you hear are birds. Communication with Yael also was very good. I highly recommend Yael's apartment!
only thing I liked was that it was near work.
