Arbio I Lux Apartment in Charlottenberg
About
Look, I'll be honest – when I first heard "Arbio I Lux Apartment in Charlottenberg," I was expecting something pretty fancy given that name. What you actually get is more like a solid, no-nonsense place that does the job really well without all the pretentious stuff. And honestly? That turned out to be exactly what I needed.
Charlottenberg itself is one of those neighborhoods that grows on you. It's not the flashy center of town where all the tourists end up, but that's actually perfect if you want to feel like you're living somewhere rather than just passing through. You've got proper grocery stores within walking distance – I mean the kind where locals actually shop, not those overpriced tourist traps. The area has this lived-in quality that I really appreciated, especially in the evenings when you can hear families settling in for dinner and the whole place has this comfortable hum to it. The apartment building fits right into that vibe – it's clearly been around for a while but someone's put real effort into keeping it updated without losing its character.
The apartment itself hits that sweet spot between practical and comfortable. You know what I noticed right away? The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook a proper meal, not just heat up instant noodles. The living space feels bigger than you'd expect (though I should mention the bedroom windows face a courtyard, so mornings are pretty quiet but you don't get much of a view). What really sold me was how everything just worked – the wifi didn't cut out every five minutes, the shower had decent pressure, and the heating responded when you actually adjusted it. These might sound like basic things, but you'd be surprised how many places get this stuff wrong.
The building's got this old-school European apartment feel – thick walls, high ceilings, and you can tell it's built to last. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward hovering around a tiny reception desk situation. I will say the stairs are a bit of a workout if you're on one of the higher floors, but honestly, after a day of walking around the city, I barely noticed. The whole setup just feels more like staying at a friend's place than a hotel, which some people love and others might find a bit too low-key. For me, it meant I could actually relax instead of feeling like I was performing "guest" all the time. It's got that 7.8 rating for good reason – not perfect, but really solid where it counts.

The location is great, very near the U station
The apartment was as described. Comfortable and in a quiet street. It was very cold outside during our visit in Berlin but upon our return late in the evening the apartment would heat up very quickly and would stay warm during the night. We would definitely recommend it and use it again if available on a future visit.
Location close to the subway and park
The apartment was cozy and well enquiped, on a quiet street, not far from the metro station and with nice restaurants in a 5 minutes walking distance if you didn't feel like going to the city. The host was really helpful too. We will definetly be back.
All amenities provided. The apartment is spacious, close to underground train, with many grocery stores nearby.
Good location, close to the tube. Clean and well equipped. Host very available for all questions
Very clean and comfy. The apartment is ground-floor, entrance directly from the street. Quiet and very safe street. Easy self check-in. Kitchenette - very well equipped. Bathroom, everything needed -so long to see plenty of toiletries. Great mattrasses, we get some great sleep. Very good communication with the property host.
The apartment was equipped with all nessasary things.
I had a very unpleasant situation with this hotel. When booking this hotel the price of 63 euros was indicated, and it was noted that the price includes all taxes and fees). After booking my bank card was charged 128 euros. Nobody answered my messages for 3 days, and after 3 days of silence I finally got the answer that to the cost of the hotel still for some reason must add 65 euros for cleaning, which for some reason I have to pay, as well as the city tax, although initially it was indicated that the cost of booking includes the city tax. At my request to return the money, which, as I believe, unnecessarily charged from me - they refuse. Also to all of the above should be added the presence of stains on the bed and poorly cleaned apartment. Think a few times before renting this hotel.
Very good located, clean and comfortable.
