BerlinBerlin
About
You know what struck me first about BerlinBerlin? The name made me roll my eyes a bit – I mean, come on – but honestly, once you're there, it actually makes sense. This place gets Berlin in a way that a lot of hotels don't, and the location on Bundesallee is pretty much perfect if you want to feel like you're living in the city rather than just visiting it.
I've stayed in Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf a few times now, and this stretch of Bundesallee has this great residential vibe where you're walking past actual Berliners heading to work or walking their dogs, not just clusters of tourists with selfie sticks. The hotel sits right in this sweet spot where you can grab a proper German breakfast at the bakery two blocks down (the one with the slightly grumpy older woman behind the counter who makes incredible pretzels), but you're also just a quick U-Bahn ride from all the stuff you actually came to see. The Fehrbelliner Platz station is maybe a seven-minute walk – I timed it because I'm weird like that – and from there you can get pretty much anywhere without the hassle of changing lines three times.
What really won me over, though, was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about getting the details right. Check-in was smooth, sure, but they also had these little touches that felt thoughtful rather than corporate – like actually knowing good restaurant recommendations that weren't just the tourist traps, and having umbrellas available without making a big production about it (which you'll appreciate because Berlin weather can be... unpredictable, let's say). The rooms have this clean, modern feel without being sterile, and honestly, the beds are fantastic. I'm someone who usually tosses and turns in hotel beds, but I slept like a rock here. The soundproofing is solid too – Bundesallee can get busy during rush hour, but inside you barely notice. The only minor thing is that the elevator can be a bit slow during busy times, but that's hardly a dealbreaker.
The whole place has earned that 8.9 rating legitimately – it's not trying to be the fanciest hotel in Berlin, but it nails the fundamentals and adds enough personality to make you want to come back. I actually found myself hanging out in the lobby area longer than I usually would, partly because the wifi is reliable (crucial for catching up on work) and partly because it's just a comfortable space to plan your day. If you're the type of traveler who wants a solid home base that doesn't eat your entire budget but still feels special, this is your spot. Plus, you'll probably run into some interesting fellow travelers – the kind of people who did their research and chose this place for the right reasons rather than just booking the first thing that popped up.

Quiet and relaxing accommodation close to the heart of a vibrant city!
Apartment comfortable, nicely decorated, very well equipped and very quiet, as it opens onto the inner garden. The living room is also very spacious. The U-bahn station is 3 minutes from the house, and Aldi, organic supermarket, cafés and restaurants are less than 10 minutes away. The host, Ralf, is very efficient and the price was quite reasonable.
Toilet in the bathroom for 5 people which is a bit of a shame as it's spacious and has a window.
Clean, well located apartment
Late arrival - fetching keys at another location at a restaurant round the corner, and then worrying that the restaurant would close before I got here at 10pm- would much prefer a lock box like other air bnbs Couldnt work out the TV
Live like a Berliner
Spacious, elegant, cosy, well appointed. Ideal location for us, felt like a real slice of Berlin living.
Nothing - it was excellent in every way
Berlin by Aussies
Well maintained, close to 3 u-bahn lines, Aldi close by. Apartment had a very spacious living room, washing machine , well stocked kitchen. Communication was very good and helpful 👍
Room was a little stuffy / warm but open a window during the day for some air. Around a 15-20 min trip into town but cost was worth it.
Exceptional
The location was great and the apartment was very roomy. We also enjoyed that it was very quiet
Superb
Accommodations were great. The apartment was beautiful and very spacious.
Even though it was in a nice neighbourhood it took us about 30 minutes with public transport to go to the main attractions.
Very nice stay in Berlin
Apartment very confortable. Big and well equiped
A little bit far from downtown
Fabulous apartment in a great location
Although the bedroom was quite small, the rest of the apartment was enormous. It was wonderful to be able to spread out and eat dinner seated at a dining room table. The washing machine was an added bonus. The location was perfect - just one minute walk from the U9 station and about 5 minutes from the nearest Aldi supermarket. We travelled everywhere by the U-bahn and S-bahn, including to Potsdam for the day.
The lift wasn't working on the day we arrived so we had to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs, but the lift was fixed on the day of our departure. Otherwise, everything was perfect. We would highly recommend.
Exceptional
Lovely decor, plenty of space, plenty of kitchen equipment, everything you need for laundry, very quiet and only 5 minutes from an Aldi & 2 minutes from the underground
