Best Apartment in the Center of Berlin with Big Terrace
About
Honestly, when I first saw the name "Best Apartment in the Center of Berlin with Big Terrace," I rolled my eyes a bit – you know how these listings can oversell themselves. But after spending a few days here, I actually think they might be underselling it. The terrace really is massive, and I mean proper big, not just-big-enough-for-two-chairs big. You can actually have breakfast out there without feeling cramped, and in the evening when the Berlin light gets all golden and moody, it's genuinely lovely.
The location is what really makes this place work though. You're properly in the thick of things – I could walk to Museum Island in about fifteen minutes, and there's this great little späti (that's what Berliners call their corner stores) literally around the corner that stays open late when you need that emergency bottle of wine or forgotten phone charger. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciate. Sure, it's only rated three stars, but honestly the 9.4 rating makes sense when you're there. The kitchen actually has proper knives and decent pans – not those sad, blunt things you usually get in holiday rentals. I ended up cooking way more than I planned because it was just so easy.
What struck me most was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so central. The windows are solid, and you're tucked away just enough from the main drag that you're not dealing with late-night revelers stumbling past. Though I should mention – weekend mornings can get a bit lively with the local market setting up nearby, but that's Berlin for you, and anyway, the coffee stalls are brilliant if you can't be bothered making your own. The whole building has character too, one of those classic Berlin blocks with thick walls and high ceilings that keep things cool even when it's scorching outside. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward waiting around in lobbies or hunting for a key lockbox. Just real people who actually know the neighborhood and can point you toward the good bakery (it's the one with the slightly grumpy owner who makes incredible pretzels, not the touristy one with the fancy sign).

This apartment was so clean, quiet and comfortable!! Everything I needed!!
Cosy flat. Lots of personal touches. Very helpful owner.
Really nice and light flat with big terrace. Comfortable bed. Great location. Really good communication from host.
Host was so nice and waited for us to let us in, helped us settle in early after a long flight. Nice fruit basket and some facial oils made it truly personal and special. Kitchen has all the gear you need. Very comfortable and the deck is a whole mother space to be out in. Stores and bakery nearby made cooking easy. And it's right on the bus line and U bahn. Some of the local the restaurants are as good as any in the city. You can even rent bikes from a nearby hotel. Just a block from the spree river. The apartment is a well planted courtyard interior so it's dead quiet from the city noises.
Nice. Beautiful balcony, sweet home in centre of Berlin.
The apartment was comfortable with a artsy vibe - perfect for us, everything we needed, and a relaxing balcony overlooking the inner courtyard with blooming plants. The hosts were welcoming, helpful and left us coffee, fruit and water. The location was perfect for us (GF/DF/vegetarian) with grocery stores -natural and regular, a coffee shop and Thai restaurant just a few steps away making it easy to get meals after a busy day of seeing the sites. The sofa bed was comfortable, a really big plus!
The host did his best to accomodate us, great service and the place looked great.
Great host, easy self check-in and wonderful flat in a city center
