COOLEST Apartment in Berlin, easy Check-in, cozy, near city center – 4 room
About
Okay, so I'll be honest – when I first saw the name of this place, I thought it was going to be one of those overly hyped Airbnbs that promises the world and delivers a tiny studio. But this 4-room maisonette on Berliner Allee actually lives up to the "coolest" claim, and I mean that in the most genuine way possible. The moment you walk in, there's this immediate sense that someone really thought about how travelers want to live, not just sleep. The maisonette setup means you've got proper separation between spaces – you know, actual rooms where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you're camping in someone's living room. The check-in really is as easy as they say (keyless entry that actually works, imagine that), and honestly, after dealing with so many Berlin hosts who make you jump through hoops just to get your keys, this felt refreshingly straightforward.
What really got me about this place is how it sits in Pankow – and look, I know Pankow doesn't have the sexy reputation of Kreuzberg or Mitte, but that's exactly why it works. You're genuinely near the city center without the tourist chaos, and Berliner Allee connects you to everything without making you feel like you're staying in Times Square. The S-Bahn connections from this area are actually fantastic once you figure them out, and there's something nice about coming home to a neighborhood that feels more like where Berliners actually live. The apartment itself has this cozy factor that's hard to fake – I'm talking about the kind of lighting that makes you want to stay in with a bottle of wine, mixed with enough space that you don't feel claustrophobic when the Berlin weather inevitably traps you indoors for a day.
The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you've been there for more than a night. It's not trying to be some Instagram-perfect loft with impossible white furniture, but rather a place where you can actually relax and spread out. The four rooms give you options – work in one, sleep in another, and still have space for your travel companion to do their own thing without stepping on each other. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night (Pankow doesn't have the late-night street noise of central Berlin), yet you're still close enough that a spontaneous trip to a beer garden or late-night döner run doesn't require a major expedition. If you're the type who wants to experience Berlin like you're living there temporarily rather than just visiting, this place gets it right in a way that's becoming harder to find in the city.

Very good
It was a really nice apartment! We really liked the loft styled design- had a great stay
we were in a group and at times it was getting really warm- even with the windows open - the air was really warm and uncomfortable, that we had to open the main door for fresh air:)

Great location. Well appointed.Modern. Chosen because slightly away from busy city centre Close to tram links. Great to have the independence which hotels do not offer
No issues
A tastefully done apartment at a great location not far from Alexanderplatz
Berlin is a large city. In that scale this apartment is not far from the city centre. It is about 8 stops away from Alexanderplatz and yet located very conveniently near the grocery stores and tram stations. Very close to the Berlin planetarium and so we walked back after a late evening show. Berlin has excellent public transport and this apartment is suited well for people ( like us ) who arrive without a car. Apartment is quite tastefully done. One bedroom at the top one in the bottom. The sofa bed is big enough to sleep two adults maintaining good personal space. The kitchen is well equipped. I wouldn't aim at making grand dinner in there but a decent breakfast n meals are doable. The microwave oven was on top of the fridge, in the same cabinet. So everytime we had to use the oven the fridge was to be kept open. Made us all laugh each time but not a botheration really. The host was very helpful and promptly respond all our queries.
As an apartment doesn't have room service we would have preferred having a hoover or even a broomstick to go about with the daily cleaning. Storage shelves in the bathroom and bedrooms would also have been highly appreciated. This is a very specific requirement and that I think doesn't go against the place. But these little things sure will value add the overall experience.
We had a lovely time in the apartment! Very pretty and well equipped
We enjoyed our stay in the apartment. Perfect for a group of friends. The living area and kitchen were very well equipped. - beds were extremely comfortable - the whole apartment had a nice style and furniture - great apartment for larger groups - wifi was working well
Very good
The entrance was super easy with a code for the building and for the door. also, the apartment is very cozy and well-designed! Pretty close to a tram station, supermarket, and more.
We asked to check-in earlier because we were in a rush and the host said it's not possible to check-in before time. he wasn't flexible at all (even though the apartment was ready before) He didn't even let us keep the luggage in the apartment one hour before check-in. he sent us to a store nearby to store our luggage but they didn't even have this service. Also, there's no AC in the apartment so it's something to take care about in the hot summer.
Good value for money
Nice design
More fresh air needed in the -1 level, coffee machine and water heater should be replaced
Very good
We had a great time in this comfortable appartment, nice location. upon arrival there were not enough sheets and towels but this was quickly resolved bij the owner, he was super helpfull
The beds were a bit on the small side for two adult, and we are not too big ourselves...
Good
Good location, tram line in front of the apartment, which leads to Alexanderplatz (several stops). Clean apartment, Communication with the owner good. Overall, good accommodation, although the price is quite high
The beds in the bedrooms are small and not enough to sleep two people in a bed. Occasional sewage smell from the bathroom. Certain dishes are missing in the kitchen.
location and space were good but horrible bathroom odor made stay not really worth it
horrible sewage odor coming from one of the bathrooms. It was reported but minimal respons
