Excellent Apartments Kreuzberg
About
So I stumbled upon Excellent Apartments Kreuzberg during one of those "let's just see what's available" booking sessions, and honestly? The name made me a bit skeptical at first – I mean, who calls their place "Excellent" without being a little try-hard, you know? But after spending a few nights there, I get why they went with it.
The thing about this place is that it really nails what Kreuzberg is all about. You're right in the thick of things without feeling like you're staying in some sanitized tourist bubble. I could hear the morning bustle from Oranienstraße drifting through the windows – not in an annoying way, more like the city gently nudging you awake. The apartments themselves have this lived-in quality that actually works in their favor. Sure, it's a 3-star place with a 7.1 rating, so you're not getting marble countertops or whatever, but the kitchenettes are properly equipped (I actually cooked pasta one night instead of hitting another döner place), and there's enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The WiFi was solid too, which matters when you're trying to figure out which U-Bahn line gets you to Museum Island without three transfers.
What really sold me on the area was walking out the door and being maybe ten minutes from Görlitzer Park – perfect for morning coffee when the whole neighborhood's still waking up. And honestly, being in Kreuzberg means you're surrounded by all these little Turkish bakeries and Vietnamese spots that locals actually go to, not just the places with English menus hunting for tourist euros. The check-in was pretty straightforward, though I'd recommend arriving during normal hours since it's not one of those big hotel operations with 24-hour desk service. Parking's a bit of a game if you're driving, but that's just Berlin for you – I ended up using the public transport anyway since everything's so connected. The building itself has that slightly worn Berlin charm, and while the hallways won't win any design awards, everything feels clean and well-maintained. I'd definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to actually experience the neighborhood instead of just passing through it.
Early hotels booking in Berlin is essential during major events like the Berlinale Film Festival, as accommodations fill up quickly with visitors eager to experience the city's renowned nightlife and cultural scene.

Good place, all is excellent for my family.
The location was very good (close to U-bahn), the comfort is adequate to the price
The position is oki, near Ubahn, very convenient for travel around the city and commute the airport
Well located, near metro/train station, 50 min walking from the central station (Hbf). The double room has a good size, and the possibility to cook is good. Towels are also provided. Good communication with the personal to solve some issues! Also good communication at the beginning with information in advance to get to the place. We didn't hear much noise from the street, only from the guests when someone walked to the bathroom. I think this apartment is overall acceptable for short stays.
Good location
The room is big; the kitchen is a plus and the price
Comfortable room, great kitchen and living spaces, clear instructions on how to get in. Very close to U-bahn station, but the center was also walkable.
Good location to metro, or cycling to centre. Comfortable bed, good space in room, easy check in. Good for the 3 night stay needed
Overall it was good. I specially liked the location as it was close to public transportation and most attractions.
Easy check in Good value for money
