You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name makes it sound like just another vacation rental, but honestly, it's more like having your own private retreat right on the Spree River. I mean, when they say "direkt an der Spree," they actually mean it – you're literally steps from the water, and the sound of it moving past becomes this constant, gentle backdrop to everything.
The whirlpool and sauna combo is where this place really shines, especially if you're visiting during those chilly Berlin months (which, let's be honest, is most of them). After spending a day wandering around the city – or even just walking along the riverbank – sinking into that whirlpool while looking out at the water is pretty much perfect. The sauna's properly done too, not one of those tiny afterthought things you sometimes get. I actually found myself using it way more than I expected, particularly in the evenings when the house gets that cozy, lived-in feeling. The whole setup feels very German in the best way possible – functional, well-built, and designed for actual relaxation rather than just looking good in photos.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets, especially considering you're still connected to Berlin's transit network. The Spree here isn't like the touristy sections closer to Museum Island – it's more residential, more authentic. You'll see locals jogging past in the mornings, maybe some kayakers on weekends, but it never feels crowded or performative. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you experience the place; it's not luxury hotel perfect, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. Parking was straightforward (always a relief in Germany), and the check-in process was refreshingly simple. The only minor thing I'd mention is that the kitchen setup is pretty basic – fine for simple meals, but don't plan any elaborate cooking projects. But honestly, with the Spree right there and Berlin's food scene so accessible, you'll probably want to explore anyway.

This place feels like home not a rental. You will find any little thing needed in casual day. House is located subburbs of Berlin with an amazing back garden. On the end of You there is even a boat hanging over and canal ready to swim away right with Your morning coffee. It's very quiet neigberhood. I haven't seen a walking person after 8pm in any of 5 days we stayed here. It's hard to tell all the things they are here, I named only little few and our stay was in November when weather is bad, but this kinda "summerstyle" area is deffinetly great in cold times too. Loved it!
There is a construction going on in the backyard. A lot of mosquitos due to the river, which is more like a lake. The water pressure was quite low so we were not able to use the whirlpool. The sauna we haven’t seen. Mind that the additional tax for a child is more than for an adult and there are no bed sheets and towels. It is quite in the nowhere. The closest supermarket and restaurants is 20 min walking.

Schönes Haus mit traumhaftem Garten direkt am Wasser. Sehr ruhige Lage und ein sehr netter Vermieter. Diese Unterkunft kann ich nur empfehlen.
Es war alles wie beschrieben. Wir hatten tolle Abende auf der Terrasse. Das Wetter war traumhaft. Es gab immer netten Kontakt zum Andreas.
Een erg mooi en comfortabel huis, met alle benodigde apparatuur en gebruiksvoorwerpen. Er was zelfs een professioneel tafelvoetbalspel. Keurig schoon en lekker warm via vloerverwarming. Mijn kinderen hebben de whirlpool een keer gebruikt en waren er zeer over te spreken. De locatie is superrustig. Andreas is uitstekend bereikbaar voor het geven van toelichting. Een sympathieke gastheer. Het is 45 minuten rijden naar alle attracties in Berlijn en dat is het fijne van Berlijn, overal prima parkeren tegen extreem lage kosten (zeg ik als ex-Amterdammer). Als je met de trein/S-Bahn wilt, dan kan dat vanaf deze locatie ook prima, maar waarom zou je? Verder vind ik het contrast mooi. De datsja's in het gebied waren ooit voorbehouden aan de trouwe SED-leden en dat Ossie-sfeertje hangt er in de buurt nog wel. Dat maakt Berlijn ook zo leuk al die verschillende subcultuurtjes. Het huis ligt aan een slootje via welk je de Spree en het meer kunt bereiken. Vanuit het dorpje kun je de veerdienst pakken en zelfs naar Berlijn varen. Met sauna wordt trouwens een 1-persoons Turks bad bedoeld. Let op: je moet zelf je bedlinnen en handdoeken meenemen.
Schönes und geräumiges Haus mit großem Garten in schönem Wohngebiet. Berlin Zentrum gut zu erreichen. Ca. 15 Min zu Fuß zum Bus und vier Haltestellen zur S-Bahn.
Die Lage ist top! Das Haus steht direkt an der Spree und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Alles, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt, war vorhanden. Der Whirlpool ist ein Traum 🥰 und auch die Dampfsauna hat uns in den kalten Tagen gut getan.
Die Lage ist sehr schön und man genießt die Ruhe.
Es ist ein sehr schönes ruhig gelegenes Haus was allen Ansprüchen gerecht wird - wir werden sicherlich wieder kommen
