Ferienwohnung Atze
About
You know what caught me off guard about Ferienwohnung Atze? The name sounds pretty casual – I mean, "Atze" is basically German slang for "buddy" – but this place actually delivers way more than you'd expect from something that sounds so laid-back. I stumbled across it while looking for somewhere decent to stay in Mitte that wouldn't completely drain my wallet, and honestly, it turned out to be one of those happy accidents that make you feel like you've discovered something special.
The location on Seestraße is pretty brilliant, actually. You're right in the heart of Mitte but tucked away enough that you're not dealing with the constant tourist chaos around Alexanderplatz (which is maybe a 10-minute walk, by the way). What I really loved was how you can grab your morning coffee at one of those proper Berlin corner cafés – there's this little spot just around the corner where the barista actually remembered my order after two days. The apartment itself has that perfect balance of being comfortable without trying too hard to impress. The kitchen's properly equipped (I'm talking decent knives and actual plates, not those flimsy things you usually get), and there's enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you're living out of a suitcase. The windows are big enough that you get real natural light, which sounds basic but you'd be surprised how many places get this wrong.
Here's the thing that really sold me on this place – the little details that show someone actually cares. The Wi-Fi doesn't cut out every twenty minutes, there are proper blackout curtains (lifesaver if you're dealing with jet lag), and the shower has actual water pressure. I know that sounds ridiculously mundane, but when you've stayed in enough places where the shower feels like a gentle mist, you start appreciating the good stuff. The building's pretty quiet too, even though you're in the middle of everything – I think it's because Seestraße isn't one of those main thoroughfares where delivery trucks are rumbling past at 6 AM. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no weird hoops to jump through or confusing key situations. The whole experience just felt... well, like staying at a friend's place who happens to have their life together. With an 8.9 rating, you'd expect it to be decent, but this place actually earns those points instead of just coasting on a good location. If you're looking for somewhere in Berlin that feels authentic without sacrificing comfort – and you don't need someone in a uniform bringing you towels – this is definitely worth booking.

Very comfortable apartment
We loved the apartment! Very comfortable and had everything we needed. The front door of the building was a bit scary but once we got into the apartment everything was great!!
Exceptional
Location
Nothing
Perfect really. Absolutely perfect for a solo traveller like myself or for a couple
The location is absolutely perfect for me, close to where I need to be but not too far or too close to the centre of Berlin
The noise sometimes outside, but that can’t be helped, that’s just other people. It was only one night where it was very noisy out of the 10 days I stayed, and no noise at all last time I stayed
Very good
Appartmant was big enough for four of us. We had everything that we need. Nice neighborhood, good conection with the city centre.
The bathroom looks great, everything is new and clean. We just had one problem, the drain in the bathroom was blocked so we had to clean it.
Highly recommended. Very enjoyable
It was a large / spacious property. Clean, well equipped. Great to have separate bedroom. Quiet. Easy to the tram, Ubarn.

Quiet location, nice big apartmant. Would visit again.
Really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for the group of 4. Thank you
Everything was great
Nice flat, not so nice location
Comfortable flat with everything you need for a few days in Berlin
Location a bit grittty. Building is run down, covered in graffiti, courtyard rather dirty
Perfect for my regular trips. Definitely going to stay there again and again!
Everything really. Amazing value for money given how much a hotel costs, and you get an entire flat for the same price!
Noise of some neighbours but I couldn’t care about that too much really
Definitely recommend! Very clean and nice appartment near the metro station.
the appartment was exactly the same as presented at booking.com. Check in was easy, owners were quite helpful and answered all of my questions before the stay asap. It is around 7 8 min walk from the U6 metro station. Had all necessary facilities and it was very clean. Neighborhood is quite and calm. I thank the owners and would definitely recommend.
i just left the place today and cant think of anything negative.
