Great Apartment in Berlin Neukölln
About
So you're looking at Neukölln, huh? Smart choice, honestly. This place on Mareschstraße caught my attention because, well, it's right in the thick of what makes this neighborhood actually interesting – and I mean that in the best way possible. When I first walked up to number 10, I'll admit I wasn't expecting much from a 3-star spot, but sometimes those assumptions just mess with you.
The thing about staying here is you're getting the real Berlin experience without the tourist bubble nonsense. Neukölln has this energy that's hard to describe – it's gritty but creative, rough around the edges but somehow that makes it more authentic. You'll hear Turkish music drifting from corner shops, smell fresh bread from the bakeries that actually serve locals (not just Instagram tourists), and honestly, the whole area has this lived-in feeling that Mitte lost years ago. The apartment itself is pretty solid for what you're paying – nothing fancy, but everything works, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I've crashed at. The 7.8 rating makes sense when you consider you're getting decent space, a functional kitchen, and you're literally surrounded by some of the best late-night food in the city.
What really sold me on this spot though is the neighborhood access. Hermannplatz is maybe a 10-minute walk, which means you're connected to the rest of Berlin without being stuck in the sterile hotel district. And you know what? The streets around here actually have character – Weserstraße with its vintage shops and cafes where people actually work on laptops instead of just posing with them, or Pannierstraße where you can grab groceries without paying tourist prices. The U-Bahn connections are solid too (Leinestraße station is your friend), so getting to Kreuzberg or even central areas isn't a hassle. Sure, Neukölln can get a bit loud on weekend nights – I mean, this is where young Berliners come to party – but if you're the type who goes to bed at 9 PM, maybe look elsewhere. For everyone else, you're basically getting a front-row seat to one of Europe's most interesting urban transformations, and honestly, that's worth way more than thread counts or fancy lobby marble.

Very good
The apartment is located (as far as I can tell from the entrance) in a former commercial space. It's very spacious, with cafés and the metro nearby.
I think the bathroom drain should be renovated, as the water under the shower takes an extremely long time to go down. The doors to the rooms don’t close properly, and I would suggest replacing the handles. The coffee machine greeted us with a cleaning request, so we didn’t use it. Oh, and the listing should clearly mention the security deposit (€150). It was the first time we encountered such a requirement in Berlin. It's fine if it exists, but it definitely shouldn’t be hidden, we found out about that from other opinions.
It’s good overall
Location was so easy
Some information didnot matched
Good
Very comfortable nad well equipped apartment. Close to grocery and communication.
Slight smell of cigarettes smoke, creepy neighbourhood
Nice, big and clean. Good position but a lot of noice comes from street
Nce apartment and enough big. Easy to find and access inn check. A lot of restaurants. Shops and coffee shops. Easy to park the car or get a parking or get a public transport
The apartment is right on the street . So you must expect a lot of noice of street and people in midnight.
Berlin trip
Nice , specious apartment close to the station. Everything you need in the apartment.Good location. Big living room with a TV. Sofa there needs replacement :)
I didn't like to fact that I wasn't told in advance that I willl have to pay deposit of 150euro blocked from my credit card. It's a first time I came a cross such a thing. I guess German's rather be safe then sorry in case of damage.
We were there to enjoy Berlin and see the city for a few days and absolutely enjoyed our stay
Very nice and clean apartment, close to the S-Bahn Stop “Sonnenallee”. There are loads of cute cafes and bars in the area of Neukölln and close to the apartment. Even though it is on the ground floor and close to a busy street the rooms are very quiet.
One bathroom for that many people is a little tricky but with a bit of time management it worked out.
Good place for young people, in each room a double bed and a single bed. Great Coffee machine!
Location was good because we needed to be near Estrel hotel for a conference. Good support line for the help to get access. The coffee machine was very good! Shower was good but the shower gel was empty and replacing it from the holder was NOT simple or easy! Why it was not done, we don't understand! Replacement was available!
The app from Homaris was used and installed for sharing information, it didn't work the information how to use it was wrong, like entering you booking code was not possible, after many trials I found a way to get access. The wifi code on the shared information was wrong but we found it in the apartment after understanding that the information was completely WRONG!!!! In the bathroom a bath/shower carpet or towel to get out of the show would be appreciated.
Bad
Property was very nice
But water leaked from the upstairs. Customer service changed our apartment very far and decided very slowly. We spent for it half business days.It was very bad for us. We cancelled our very important meeting with our company colleagues. We lost very big businesses chance. Customer service wrote to us, will be send back us 40% percent of Payment. They didn’t do that.
Superb
Ebenerdig, sehr ruhig..war alles in allem gut
Unterkunft ok, Kommunikation mangelhaft
