Hotel Bleibtreu Berlin by Golden Tulip
About
You know what struck me first about Hotel Bleibtreu Berlin? It's got this understated confidence that a lot of four-star places try too hard to achieve. I mean, you walk into the lobby and it doesn't scream "look at me" – instead, it whispers "I know exactly what I'm doing." The Golden Tulip folks clearly put some thought into this one, and honestly, it shows in ways that actually matter when you're dragging your suitcase around after a long flight.
The thing is, Berlin hotel ratings can be all over the place (trust me on this), but a 7.8 here feels about right – maybe even a bit conservative. What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to get that sweet spot between being helpful and not hovering around like you can't figure out how to work an elevator. The rooms have this modern German efficiency thing going on, which sounds boring but actually translates to everything just... working. The shower pressure is solid, the Wi-Fi doesn't cut out when you're trying to video call home, and the blackout curtains actually block out those ridiculously long summer days when the sun's still up at 9 PM. Small details, sure, but they add up when you're trying to get some decent sleep.
Location-wise – and I hate using that word because every hotel claims to have a great location – but this one genuinely makes sense. You're not stuck in some tourist bubble, but you're also not scratching your head wondering how to get anywhere interesting. I found myself walking to places I actually wanted to visit rather than just settling for whatever was closest. The neighborhood has that lived-in Berlin vibe where you'll stumble across a proper döner place or a café that locals actually frequent, not just the sanitized spots that end up in guidebooks. Parking can be a bit of a dance if you're driving (honestly, just don't drive in Berlin if you can help it), but the public transport connections are solid enough that you won't feel stranded. The whole experience just felt... well, it felt like staying somewhere that gets Berlin right without trying to be the flashiest option on the block.

Loved the hotel, clean and not too far from bus/train stops. Staff were very friendly and arranged our return taxi
very pretty rooms, and located in a chill and safe area. not that central, but makes up for it by being close to busstops and all other necessities
The room was comfortable, with a lot space for the room and the bathroom. It has a big closet which helps to have the space neat. I got surprise because there were a static bicycle in the room, however I did not have the opportunity to use it.
Perfect location, perfect staff and comfortable rooms however there should be cover for water leakage surroundings the showers.
This hotel offers good value for the price. While it's somewhat distant from the city center and major tourist hubs, it is reasonably accessible. The main train station is about an hour's walk away, but there’s a smaller train station (S-Line) just 10 minutes away and a metro station (U Line) 15 minutes away. The hotel itself is an older building but maintains a pleasant appearance. On the brighter side, breakfast was quite enjoyable, with a wide selection of snacks and the thoughtful touch of serving an entire pot of coffee. Greate place for new year eve, as it far from main loud zones of the city.
The staff were very welcoming and professional. The thoughtful touch of a nice goody bag was much appreciated—thank you!

It was cosy and quiet, good clean beds, was ok with the cleanness but for sure is nothing like a 4 star is a 3 star
