Hotel Dori´s 108
About
You know what, Hotel Dori's 108 surprised me more than I expected for a solid three-star spot. I'll be honest – when I first walked up, the exterior doesn't exactly scream "wow," but there's something refreshingly unpretentious about the place that grew on me pretty quickly. The lobby has this lived-in feel that actually works in its favor, like staying at a well-maintained family place rather than some cookie-cutter chain.
The rooms are honestly better than the 7.2 rating might suggest – I mean, they're not Instagram-perfect or anything, but everything's clean and functional in that "this actually works for real people" kind of way. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (and I'm picky about mattresses), and the bathrooms are updated enough that you're not dealing with ancient fixtures. What I really appreciated was the attention to little details that matter when you're actually living somewhere for a few days – decent water pressure, outlets where you need them, and enough space to actually unpack your stuff without playing Tetris with your belongings.
Here's the thing about this place that the rating doesn't capture – the staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay work. Check-in was smooth, no weird surprises or hidden fees, and when I had a question about getting around the area, the front desk person actually took time to give me real local insight instead of just handing over a generic tourist map. The neighborhood itself has this authentic feel that I found way more interesting than staying in some touristy bubble. You've got actual local spots within walking distance, real cafés where you can grab decent coffee without paying resort prices, and it's quiet enough at night that you can actually sleep. Parking was easier than I expected too – not always a given in areas like this. I mean, it's not luxury by any stretch, but sometimes you want a place that just does the basics really well without all the fuss. If you're the type who values genuine hospitality and a real neighborhood feel over flashy amenities you probably won't use anyway, Dori's 108 hits that sweet spot pretty perfectly.

Location to where I needed to be
2 rooms connected by a door -> very good for families :) Breakfest a la card
Nice sunny terrace. Interesting restaurant.
Friendly staff, a good location on the S-Bahn 2 line (four minute walk to the station, which is currently under construction, but accessible if you hunt around a bit). Interesting dinner menu of Bulgarian specialities which I will definitely try next time! In a quite treed street, but close to shopping and restaurants.
