Hotel Palace Berlin
About
Honestly, when I first walked into Hotel Palace Berlin, I wasn't expecting to be blown away – I mean, there are plenty of fancy five-star places that look great in photos but feel sort of sterile in person. This place is different though. The lobby has this old-world elegance that actually feels lived-in rather than museum-like, with these gorgeous marble floors that somehow don't echo when you walk across them (which is rare, trust me). The staff at check-in knew exactly what they were doing – no fumbling around with the computer system or asking me to repeat my confirmation number three times.
What really got me was how they've managed to keep that classic Berlin sophistication without feeling stuffy. The rooms are spacious in a way that most European hotels just aren't, and the beds are legitimately comfortable – not just "hotel comfortable" where you're constantly adjusting pillows. The bathrooms have heated floors, which you don't realize you need until it's 6 AM and you're padding around on warm marble instead of cold tile. You know what's funny? The minibar actually has reasonable prices, which tells you something about a place's confidence level. From my room on the upper floors, I could see straight across to some of Berlin's iconic architecture, and at night the city lights created this almost cinematic backdrop.
The location puts you right in the heart of things without being on one of those crazy busy streets where you can't sleep because of late-night traffic. I walked to several major attractions – the Brandenburg Gate is maybe fifteen minutes if you're taking your time and stopping for photos. The breakfast spread was impressive without being overwhelming (I hate when hotels have thirty different things and none of them are particularly good), and their coffee is strong enough that I didn't need to hunt down a proper café first thing in the morning. The concierge team knows their stuff too – they steered me toward a couple of local spots that weren't packed with tourists, including this incredible little beer garden that I never would have found on my own. Look, it's not cheap, but for Berlin's luxury hotel scene, the 8.8 rating makes complete sense. The service feels personal rather than scripted, the rooms deliver on comfort and style, and you're positioned perfectly to actually experience the city rather than just pass through it.

Good location, very good breakfast and friendly staff. Building and entrance was old fashioned. The bed was quite high, but this is personal. Overall good hotel
Location is great. We had a lovely x’mas market right outside of the Hotel. Breakfast was a great selection and served till 12pm, which was handy for lazy mornings. Staff were very cordial and helpful. Overall a great stay.
From beginning to end, this hotel was just a breath of fresh air! From the time I booked, the staff were great to communicate with, I asked for our two rooms to be close and we were given two adjacent rooms. Here is a list to make it easy; -The hotel was easy to find, a train from the airport and a short walk from the station. -Very friendly welcome at check-in - Very nice rooms in the recently refurbished part, spacious, nicely decorated, and for a change they have thought of everything to make life easy around the room, from plenty of sockets to light switches (snazzy high-tech ones) from any side of the room. -Spacious bathroom with a bath and shower - Although I try to spend the least amount of time in bed on holidays as there is too much to do and see, it was really nice getting back to that bed and that bedding. Super comfy and you can order any type of pillow you need! - Very caring and considerate staff who really made a huge difference as I had a bad cold and I was given a tray full of Ginseng Tea, honey, biscuits and a handwritten card with a very nice get well soon message (thank you lovely lady! sorry I have forgotten your name) - The pool/spa area was easy to get to without having to walk through the lobby in a robe and slippers. The pool was nice and warm, and the staff there were very friendly and helpful - You do need to pay extra for the sauna and the dress code is nude. I only gave it a miss as I had nowhere to keep my tissue! But joking aside, I definitely want to try a massage, the cold water plunge pool, and the sauna next time when I'm virus-free. - The breakfast was great, and I appreciated that we didn't have to squeeze it in and stress about it in the morning as they served breakfast till midday (check hours as timings change around the year). The staff in the restaurant were a delight to see every morning. -The area where the hotel is located is the nicest and most bustling part of Berlin!
Everything was exceptional !!!
The location was ideal and in easy reach of everything we wanted to do. The staff were polite and attentive. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in
