MINT Apartment über der Stadt Parken Küche WiFi
About
I'll be honest – when I first saw the name "MINT Apartment über der Stadt," I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place actually surprised me in the best way. It's tucked away on Liebermannstraße in Pankow, which might not sound glamorous if you're thinking tourist Berlin, but hear me out. This neighborhood has that authentic residential vibe that's getting harder to find in the city, and you're still only about 20 minutes from Mitte by S-Bahn. The apartment sits on an upper floor (hence the "über der Stadt" bit), and you actually do get these nice glimpses over the rooftops – not quite a panoramic view, but enough to feel like you're above the everyday hustle.
What really sold me on this place was how thoughtfully it's set up. The kitchen isn't just some afterthought with a mini-fridge and hot plate – I mean, you can actually cook here if you want to save some euros or just crave a proper breakfast. The WiFi works reliably (I tested it extensively, obviously), and honestly, that alone puts it ahead of half the places I've stayed in Berlin. The parking situation is clutch too, especially in this city where finding a spot can be a genuine nightmare. There's something refreshing about not having to circle blocks or decode confusing parking signs in German. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend's place than staying in a typical hotel – you know what I mean? It's got that lived-in comfort without being worn down.
The area itself grows on you pretty quickly. Sure, you're not stumbling out your door into Museum Island, but Pankow has this understated charm. There are these little cafés and bakeries that locals actually use, not just tourist traps with overpriced currywurst. I found myself walking to the nearby S-Bahn station most mornings, and it became this nice little routine – past the tree-lined streets where you can actually hear birds instead of constant traffic. The 8.7 rating makes sense when you experience it; it's not trying to be flashy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works the way it should. You sleep well (the street is surprisingly quiet for Berlin), you wake up refreshed, and you feel like you're experiencing the city from a more genuine angle. If you're the type who'd rather spend money on great meals and experiences instead of inflated hotel rates in Mitte, this spot delivers exactly what it promises.
To book a hotel in Berlin during the famous Berlin International Film Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts culture enthusiasts and history lovers from around the world.

Very good
Very clean, very confortable, the ownet is always through messages available.
Althugh is very good conected with tram and Bus, it takes a min of 37-50 mins to get to the citycenter or any touristicsl place.
Unique, spacious, gorgeous view!
Location and size was great for our needs, the Appartement is beautiful and has a gorgeous view at night! The owner was very helpful and kindly provided us with a cot and baby bath, apartment is highly recommended.

Exceptional
The apartment was very nice and the location was excellent! Found out a bit of history about the building from another tenant which was pretty interesting. My wife and daughter said that they really enjoyed the view and was able to catch a sunrise while there.
Difficult to say. The water is pretty hard there, but what are going to do? Also, someone in the building really likes techno music, but it is Berlin and it wasn't too annoying or loud.
Awesome
Everything, the apartment was quite new and the staff was so good, not very expensive and everything great
It was difficult to access, you need the first time to go to the garage.
Exceptional
Large, clean, comfortable room for a large company.
Remote, spacious and unique
The apartment had everything you need for self catering stay. Sofas and beds very comfortable and the bedding was crisp. Very spacious even for a larger group of 6. The cupboard in the bedroom is incredibly spacious and very nice with compartments for jewellery. Lights turning on when you open the cupboard doors. For those who love a unique Berlin experience this is highly recommended.
The location is a bit far from everything. To get into the centre of Berlin you need some extra time (but there is a bus stop right in front of the building). It might take longer than an hour depending on the time of the day. Also there is no cafe or restaurant in the vicinity. A coffee shop or breakfast place in the building might be a good idea for the future. Windows are mainly in the ceiling and there is no balcony. It can feel a bit claustrophobic.
Berlin apartment
A nice big appartment with a lot of comfort and a nice view. We enjoyed our stay in Berlin and the owner was very involved with our stay
We had one key for the whole familie. The road to the apartment is very bumpy
Good
Space, view, great communication, everything is electronically enabled, supermarket nearby, parking (for 10 euro a day), big elevator.
The bathroom did smell a little (but it is an old converted warehouse), the elevator is rather slow, it is about a 30 minute drive to the central (we went there every day), there aren't many utensils....
We would not book this apartment again.
The apartment itself was clean spacious and as advertised.
The property was in a building where the outside of the building, the front door to the property and the lift was full of graffiti, dark and dirty looking. This was not advertised or pictured in the details. We would not have booked this, had this been advertised or detailed. The location is about 45 minutes away via public transport to Central Berlin. We had booked to stay 4 nights but left after 1 night because of the graffiti and the fact that we did not feel safe in the building (please see attached photos). We contacted the owner through Booking.com after we had left to ask for a refund for 2 nights even though we had only stayed for 1 night (we had booked for 4 nights). The owner refused and identified the graffiti as a positive feature of the apartment, however this was not pictured- had it been, we would never have booked.
