The Maybach – rooftop living XBerg, 1BR, 1 living room
About
Look, I've stayed in a lot of places around Berlin, but The Maybach actually surprised me – and I mean that in the best way. You know how sometimes a place looks great online but then you walk in and it's just... meh? This wasn't that. The moment you step into this Neukölln spot, there's this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how people live, not just how tourists sleep.
The rooftop situation is honestly what sold me. I mean, you're right on Maybachufer – which, if you don't know, is where the famous Tuesday and Friday markets happen along the canal. But here's the thing most people don't realize: once you're up on that rooftop, you get this incredible view that stretches way beyond the immediate chaos of the market days. On quiet evenings (and trust me, even Neukölln has them), you can actually hear the water and watch the sunset paint everything golden. The living room flows naturally onto this space, so it never feels like you're cramped inside, even when it's raining – which, let's be honest, happens a lot in Berlin.
What really got me though was how naturally it works for different group dynamics. I stayed there with three friends, and somehow we never felt like we were on top of each other. The bedroom gives you actual privacy when you need it, but the living area is spacious enough that someone can be reading while others are planning the next day or just decompressing. The kitchen isn't just decorative either – we actually cooked a few meals, partly because the Türkischer Markt downstairs has incredible produce, but also because after walking around Kreuzberg and Neukölln all day, sometimes you just want to stay in with good company. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who's driven in Berlin will tell you is basically a miracle. The whole check-in process was smooth – none of that awkward key-handoff-at-a-random-café thing you sometimes get with vacation rentals. And honestly, the place stays pretty quiet despite being in the middle of everything. You'll hear some street life, sure, but it's more ambient Berlin soundtrack than disruptive noise. I'd definitely come back, especially during market season when you can literally roll out of bed and be browsing Turkish pastries and vintage finds within minutes.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Berlin at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous outdoor festivals and cultural events.

Exceptional
This location was exceptional and we had a very comfortable stay.
We had a great stay — the apartment was clean, bright, well-located with a lovely view and fresh air, had everything we
We had a wonderful experience during our stay at the apartment. The location was fantastic, with a beautiful view, lots of natural light, and fresh air. We didn’t miss anything—the apartment had everything we needed, even though we didn’t use the kitchen much during our stay, as there were many nice cafés and great restaurants nearby. Check-in and check-out were very smooth, and Inés, who welcomed us, was extremely friendly and communicative. She gave us several great tips for cool places to visit, which we really appreciated. We truly enjoyed our time in Berlin and would definitely recommend your place to others. Thanks again, and we hope to book with you again in the future!
Fabulous stay and close to all amenities
Moriel who checked us in was exceptional With her help . She explained everything and was very informative .
Well situated bright pleasant flat
The flat is fantastic as it’s on the 6th floor so no street noise and great views Very bright and airy
The double bed is 2 mattresses and its a bit too soft to my liking
Fantastic apartment overlooking the canal in one of Neukolm’s best areas
Excellent apartment located in tree lined street overlooking the canal in Neukolm. The 6th floor property is serviced by a lift and has a relatively spacious balcony. It is close to many good restaurants and coffee shops as well as the famous Turkish street market. Management went out of their way to smooth our check in process as we had a late flight into Berlin. A very comfortable warm apartment with a well equipped kitchen and good lounge area.
Care is needed when entering the apartment block because of the configuration of the stairway .
Exceptional

Exceptional
We loved the apartment. It had everything we needed. The balcony over looking the canal was beautiful and was lovely for coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. It was a lovely location with so many nice bars and restaurants. Great communication from Moriel for check in /out and she gave some great recommendations for things to do in the area.
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.
