Nap Club – stylish & quiet base in vibrant Kiez
About
You know what struck me first about Nap Club? The name actually makes sense once you're there – and I don't mean that in a sleepy, boring way. This place gets that after a day wandering through Kreuzberg's graffiti-covered streets and dodging cyclists on Warschauer Straße, you genuinely want somewhere that feels like a refuge. The building itself sits on Corinthstraße, which honestly, most tourists probably walk right past without noticing. But that's exactly why it works so well.
The whole "stylish" part isn't overselling it either. I mean, it's not trying to be some Instagram fever dream, but there's clearly someone with actual taste making decisions here. The rooms have this clean, minimalist thing going on without feeling cold – you know, the kind of design where everything has a purpose but doesn't scream "DESIGN HOTEL" at you. What really sold me though was how quiet it actually gets at night. And I'm saying this as someone who's stayed in plenty of Berlin places where you're basically listening to the neighbor's entire phone conversation through paper-thin walls. Here, even though you're right in the middle of everything, the soundproofing actually works.
Speaking of location – and look, everyone says this about every hotel, but hear me out – you're literally a five-minute walk from some of the best Turkish food in the city. There's this little döner place around the corner that the locals line up for, and you'll probably stumble across it just trying to find your way back from the nearest U-Bahn stop. The East Side Gallery is close enough that you can walk there without planning your whole day around it, but far enough that you're not dealing with tour groups outside your window at 8 AM. Honestly, the whole Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg area has this perfect balance – gritty enough to feel authentically Berlin, but gentrified enough that you can find decent coffee and won't worry about walking around after dark.
The staff seem to actually know the neighborhood too, which is rarer than you'd think. When I asked about getting to Tempelhof (because who doesn't want to see that massive former airport), they gave me the local's route instead of just pointing me toward the most obvious train connection. Small thing, but it matters when you're trying to make the most of a few days in the city. The check-in was smooth, parking situation is... well, it's Berlin, so manage your expectations there, but they'll point you toward the nearest spot where you won't get towed.
I'd say the 8.3 rating feels about right – it's solidly good without being perfect, and the imperfections are the kind you can live with (like the elevator being a bit slow, or the shower taking a minute to get properly hot). What makes it worth booking is that it feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need, rather than just checking boxes on a hotel amenities list. If you want to experience Berlin without feeling like you're camping out in a hostel or paying resort prices for a corporate chain, this hits that sweet spot pretty well.

Group visit to Berlin
Central location , 10 min from the station, it was comfortable for our group
Not related to the property but there were some works close by making noise
Very good
The apartment is located in a nice neighborhood. The owners seem to be very friendly, they left three welcome beers. The bedroom / living room is quite big. We made it our bedroom since we were 3. The space was good and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is quite clean and the shower pressure is very good!
- It could get a new layer of paint - The sofa bed isn't very comfortable to sleep well
Location, location, location! So easy to get around Berlin from here. I was attending an event at the Uber Arena, so I
Almost everything! All the facilities worked well, from the bathroom to the kitchen. I was very happy to have the washing machine for my clothes (and VERY happy to have the instructions there in English!). The location was superb - being so close to Ostkreuz is very helpful for getting ANYWHERE in Berlin; and it was also convening to have Lidl store on the way home from Ostkreuz metro. If I had a reason to come back to Berlin, I would certainly consider renting this flat again.
There was very little (that I didn’t like). Getting into the lock box at night (when it’s dark out, even with a flashlight) wasn’t easy, especially with the positioning so close to the ground. The bath towels were okay, but not the most absorbent or soft (but not a big deal).
Fantastic find, perfect for our weekend
Lovely apartment- very comfortable and clean. Situated really conveniently to access all the life of Berlin. Would definitely stay again.
Option of a double quilt. Extra pillows would be good.
Smooth and pleasant expirience
It was a nice quiet place to stay for a couple of nights. Everything was up to my expectations, and the host was very welcoming - left some beer in the fridge as a check-in surprise. He also addressed my request to provide the invoice upon checkout.
Key collection could be a bit more convenient - it was a bit difficult to handle the lock in the evening after rain, to see the numbers on it and put the right ones. The sink in the bathroom could also be a bit bigger/located more conveniently relative to the cabinet. But these are very minor things, hard to complain really.
Comfortable flat with gray andgray and friendly host
Spacious, clean, well equipped and a very friendly and forthcoming host - I can wholeheartedly recommend to stay at the nap club!
The key lock is hard to reach. Otherwise very good; you get what you pay for.
Superb
The flat is perfect! Clean ,comfortable and trendy. It is on the ground floor so there is no need to carry suitcases up the stairs. The bathroom is huge and clean. The host could not be nicer. He helped us out with every issue that took place due to a national strike in germany I will 100% come back.
Clean and comfortable and suited my needs
The location was very suitable for my personal needs. As an older person I appreciated the fact that the apartment is on the ground floor level. It was clean and comfortable and suited my needs.
The lock box for the keys is very awkwardly located too close to the ground and behind a bush. A better position needs to be arranged. Only one bath towel was provided despite my staying being for four nights. Also, the towel was of a low quality.
Small Ground Floor Apartment in a Typical East Berlin Apartment Block / Neighbourhood
For personal reasons the location was ideal for us as we needed a place close to our Berlin family. Also, within about 1.5/2 km walk either east or west there are excellent, interesting neighbourhoods with many bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and, on the weekend, markets at Boxhagener Platz, and within a short distance easy access to train services.
The apartment is small - one room comprising bed and sofa with a window to the street (at ground level) and another room comprising the kitchen and a dining space, and a bathroom (very good). It worked quite well, but I do question the value for money given we paid over AUD 220/night.
