Pandoras home
About
You know what struck me first about Pandora's Home? The name actually makes sense once you're inside – there's this cozy, almost residential feel that's pretty rare for a 4-star place in Berlin. It's tucked away on Stubenrauchstraße in Tempelhof-Schöneberg, which honestly might not ring a bell if you're not familiar with the city, but trust me on this – you're in one of those neighborhoods where actual Berliners live, not just tourists stumbling around.
The location is sort of perfect in that understated way. You're close enough to the action (Potsdamer Platz is maybe 15 minutes by U-Bahn) but far enough out that you won't hear drunk groups singing at 3 AM under your window. The street itself is pretty quiet – mostly residential buildings and a few local cafés where you'll actually hear more German than English, which I mean, isn't that what you want when you travel? There's a decent bakery just around the corner that does proper German breakfast rolls, and the U-Bahn station is walkable without being annoying with luggage. Parking can be a bit tricky if you're driving – it's mostly street parking in the area, but the hotel staff seemed to know which spots usually open up.
What really sets this place apart is how they've managed to feel boutique-y without trying too hard. The rooms have this warm, almost apartment-like vibe – not that sterile hotel chain feeling where everything's beige and forgettable. The 8.8 rating makes sense when you're actually staying there; it's those little details that add up. Like, the shower pressure is genuinely good (you'd be surprised how often that's not the case), and the beds are comfortable without being so soft you sink into oblivion. The staff genuinely seemed to care about helping rather than just going through the motions – they gave me actual restaurant recommendations, not just the touristy spots everyone suggests. One thing though – if you're expecting a big fancy lobby or flashy amenities, this isn't that kind of place. It's more about doing the basics really well rather than impressing you with marble floors or whatever. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after 10 PM, which is great for sleeping but maybe not ideal if you want to stumble home from bars at all hours. But honestly, for the price point and the area, Pandora's Home feels like one of those places you'd actually want to stay at again – and in Berlin, where good hotels can either cost a fortune or feel sketchy, that's saying something.

Exceptional
Nice neighbourhood, quiet street, all necessities available in the apartment, affordable and great value for money. Stores, restaurants and parking are close.
Glass door didn’t seem safe but we didn’t have any problems.
Exceptional
Really great for 6-7 people, everybody was comfortable, it was very clean and you had everything that you could need. Location is very close to the metro, so it was very well connected.
Great location, wonderful space, highly recommend.
We were a bit confused about which lock box, but the owner responded quickly.
Really small thing... it would be great if there was some basic information about the area eg subway stops, buses and restaurants. Don't need specific restaurants just that there is a cluster in a specific area nearby. Also some information on recycling.
Nice appartment, good neighborhood
Quiet neighborhood, spacious appartment, underground station is few minutes away, many playgrounds for children nearby, shopping centre 5 min away.
Excellent apartment in a wonderful location!
The apartment was perfect for our one-week family stay in Berlin. Spacious, well equipped and in a perfect location with lots of stores, restaurants and multiple S- and U-Bahn stations nearby. Friedenau is a lovely area of Berlin and we were very happy overall.
Great family apartment, close to city trains and restraunts. Highly recommend.
This apartment was perfect for our family stay while sightseeing in Berlin. Easy access to the train station (10 min walk), numerous restaurants nearby, cafes and bakeries. There also is a shopping mall located nearby. We were able to park right in front of the apartment to unload. A parking garage was located very close by with a good rate, so just parked and left the van there over the weekend. The apartment itself was perfect for the weekend. Kitchen well set up for a toddler and even had dishes for kids. The apartment is clean, bathroom and kitchen seem new. Large towels and all necessary kitchen supplies given.
The beds in the main room was very uncomfortable. There was a lump right in the middle of my back I could not move away from. My husband didn't seem too bothered by it, we tried to switch beds but the other was extremely hard. The bedrooms could use some maintance.
Easy space for exploring Berlin
Very spacious, with a well kitted out kitchen area. Also had a vacuum cleaner and high chair which are useful when traveling with young children! Really nice bathroom with separate bath and shower!
Superb
The apartment is very big, perfect for big family with teenagers. The metro and S lines are within 5 min walk. Very clean and equipped with all necessary facilities omitting washing machine. Very quiet neighborhood with lots of afordable restaurants.
a very convenient and comfortable place to stay in Berlin!
wonderful and easy place, conveniently located in a good neighborhood. Easy walk to U or S lines towards city center in about 20 min.
nothing - has everything to create a comfortable stay. Well-equipped kitchen, clean and spacious bathroom and good beds.
Pandora's Home
Very comfortable and clean. A well equipped kitchen. Nice neighbourhood and good local facilities. Situated in a very quiet road. Easy access to U-Bahn and S-Bahn. TVs provided in lounge and each bedroom. Dishwasher tablets and washing liquid provided. Very sensible bed arrangement (6 singles). Comments below sound negative, but are trivial points. Would definitely stay there again.
Washing machine broken. Didn't affect us as we didn't need to use it, but would have been nice to have known in advance. Kitchen and lounge area might have been a bit tight space wise for 6 people ( eg communal TV watching), but there were only 3 of us so it was fine. TVs provided in each bedroom though. Some basic cooking provisions would have been nice, eg salt, pepper, cooking oil for example. A teapot for British visitors !
