RED STONE Apartments Central Berlin
About
Look, I'll be honest – when I first walked up to RED STONE Apartments on Veteranenstraße, I wasn't expecting much from the exterior. It's one of those sleek, modern buildings that could honestly be anywhere in Europe, but step inside and you realize they've actually nailed the whole "apartment hotel" concept without making it feel sterile or corporate.
The location is what really got me though. I mean, you're literally in Mitte – like, the real Mitte, not some tourist interpretation of it. You can walk to Museum Island in about ten minutes (I timed it), and there's this fantastic little Turkish place called Zur Letzten Instanz just around the corner that's been serving locals since forever. The S-Bahn station at Nordbahnhof is close enough that you'll actually use it, but far enough that you won't hear trains at night. And honestly, the whole Invalidenpark area has this perfect mix of residential calm and urban energy – you know what I mean? Like, real Berliners live here, doing their grocery shopping and walking their dogs, but you're still close enough to stumble home from the bars in Hackescher Markt.
What surprised me about the apartments themselves was how much they feel like, well, actual apartments rather than hotel rooms with kitchenettes awkwardly shoved in. The spaces are generous – not just by Berlin standards, which can be pretty tight – and whoever designed them actually thought about how people live. The kitchens have proper counter space (revolutionary, I know), and the living areas don't feel like afterthoughts. Everything's clean and modern without being cold, though I will say the decor plays it pretty safe with that whole gray-and-white palette that's everywhere these days. The beds are solid, the WiFi actually works properly, and there's decent soundproofing, which matters when you're on a street that gets some traffic during the day. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – they've got this system where you can grab your keys even if you arrive late, which saved me when my flight got delayed. The building itself is secure without feeling fortress-like, and there's even parking available if you're brave enough to drive in Berlin (though honestly, you won't need a car from this spot). It's the kind of place where you could realistically settle in for a week or longer without feeling like you're camping out in a hotel room, but still get that fresh towel and housekeeping service when you want it.

Overall our stay was good.
Perfect place to stay. Public transport is very good. Kids friendly. Kids play area is just 100 meters away. The small cozy apartment is clean and very good same like in pictures. Tram station is near by. You can hear tram sounds a bit.
The sound of the trams was bit loud.
great location and right next to bottle-o!

do not put a key in the inside of the door and go out, you will get locked out

Good location (restaurants, supermarket, tram, U-Bahn just couple of minutes by walk). Facilities (kitchenette, washing machine). Online check-in. Response time in case of questions.
No private parking (just on the public street). Small towels.
Good
Great location, excellent pre-arrival communication and overall a great place to stay.
We had booked for 4 people (2 couples) and the booking said "2 rooms", but we were in 1. This was fine, as there was a bed and a sofa bed and we are good friends, but it was a bit unexpected!
Superb
Apartment was very nice, clean and comfortable. It was a bit tight as we were four adults, but it was sufficient. We enjoyed the stay. The owner of apartment was very helpfull.
We loved the stay. It’s in a fabulous location. tight on space so it is ideal for a small family
Very good eating options in close proximity to apartments. The taco spot was our go to Loved that there was a kids playground seconds away from the apartment. In great walking distance to all types of cafes and restaurants Easy to get around from apartment.
Tend to be noisy as the apartment is literally on the sidewalk. Not so good for privacy if the shutters are not closed.
It's comfy to stay, and the best location for touring.
The hip location in Mitte, with good access to public transportation, a useful kitchen, and a laundry machine.
little bit noisy at night in the weekend, and I found small earwigs in the bathroom.
