About this stay

About

So you're looking at this place on Sonnenallee - and honestly, the name sounds way fancier than what you're getting, but that's actually part of its charm. The "Skyline Loft" is basically a spacious apartment (90 square meters, which is pretty generous for Berlin) sitting right in the heart of Neukölln's most vibrant stretch. I mean, you're literally on Sonnenallee, which locals just call "Sonni" - this is where the real Berlin happens, not the touristy stuff around Brandenburg Gate.

The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than hotel-sterile, which I actually prefer. You've got proper space to spread out, and the fact that it's 90 square meters means you're not climbing over your suitcase to get to the bathroom. The area gets loud - I'm not gonna lie about that - especially on weekends when the whole street turns into this amazing mix of Arabic music, Turkish conversations, and whatever's spilling out of the bars. But honestly? That's the point. You're staying in one of Berlin's most authentic neighborhoods, where people actually live and work, not some sanitized hotel district. The 7.4 rating makes sense because it's not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises.

What really sold me on this place is the location. You've got Tempelhofer Feld (that massive old airport turned park) just a few minutes away - perfect for morning runs or evening beers with locals. The Turkish market on Tuesday and Friday is right down the street, and you know what? The bread from those stands beats anything you'll find in Mitte. Plus you're actually well-connected despite being in "outer" Berlin - the U-Bahn gets you to Alexanderplatz in like 20 minutes. Parking's typical Berlin nightmare stuff, but most people don't need a car here anyway. The check-in was pretty straightforward, though you might want to coordinate timing since it's not a traditional hotel setup. I'd say book this if you want to experience Berlin like someone who actually lives here, just don't expect room service or a concierge desk.

Overall good place to stay

The apartment was spacious. Nice view from the top floor. All the equipment was working. Good internet connection. EDEKA in 100 meters from the apartment The keys were easy to collect (but you need carefully read the sent instructions)

What could be improved: The apartment is located a bit far away from the center, so you need at least 40-50 minutes to get to the center of Berlin. The bus stop is very close, but the bus trip takes rather long. S-Bahn is is faster, but the station is around 10 min walk. The apartment building where the apartment is located and the neighborhood were not very clean (however it was clean inside the apartment itself). The available car parking is only open public parking (it was really free of charge). It took quite some time to find an available parking spot (and we were really lucky with this). In addition, you need to be really careful not to park on the street where the parking allowed only during the weekends. We parked the car and did not use it till we went home. So, maybe it is not the best option if you come by car.

A very nice modern apartment with a great view .

Clean , comfortable and has a great view of the city of Berlin from the apartment . Free Parking was easy to find near the apartment. The apartment is modern and has a great flair which we love . The kitchen is fully equipped, unfortunately there was no coffee or tea mugs .

What could be improved: Only one lift is working so people have to wait a while . If the second lift works too , there shouldn’t be any problems . There is not enough light outside the building . The apartment unfortunately had no tea or coffee mugs . There was sugar but there wasn’t any teabags nor coffee capsules available especially for guests when they arrive late or for the first morning .
