Suite 147 in Prenzlauer Berg
About
You know what? Suite 147 surprised me in the best way possible. I mean, when you're walking down Schönhauser Allee with all its trams rattling by and street art covering every other wall, you don't expect to find this kind of polished comfort tucked right into the chaos. But there it is – this 4-star spot that actually gets Prenzlauer Berg right.
The thing about staying here is you're literally in the thick of everything that makes this neighborhood worth visiting. Step outside and you've got Mauerpark five minutes to your left (perfect for Sunday flea market browsing, though good luck sleeping in that morning with all the karaoke echoing over). Head right and you'll hit all those cozy cafes around Kollwitzplatz where locals actually hang out – not just the tourist traps. I honestly spent more time wandering the cobblestone side streets than I did in my room, which says something because the suite itself was pretty comfortable. The 7.4 rating feels about right – it's solid without being flashy, you know? Clean lines, good shower pressure, and they clearly put thought into the details without going overboard.
What I really appreciated was how the place handles that classic Berlin contradiction of being trendy but not trying too hard. The lobby doesn't scream "look how hip we are," and the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than performatively cool. Plus – and this matters if you're planning to explore beyond Mitte – the U2 line is right there. You can be at Potsdamer Platz in fifteen minutes or hit the nightlife in Friedrichshain without dealing with night buses. Parking's actually doable around here too, which anyone who's driven in Berlin will tell you is basically a miracle. The neighborhood gets lively on weekends (this is Prenzlauer Berg, after all), but the windows do a decent job keeping the street noise manageable. I'd definitely come back, especially if I wanted that sweet spot between being close to everything but not sleeping above a techno club.

A good location but lacking in security and comfort.
Location was good, tucked away with no street noise from a nearby busy junction.
Security was a bit lax. After entering building using the key from the lockbox, the internal door, which should have needed unlocking, was always open. The code didn’t seem to work on the door to the apartment, so just unlocked the door with the key. Pillows were very uncomfortable.

Great location
Poor communication from the owner, and overall uncomfortable stay. Would not book again.
Great location, close to public transit and lots of bars and restaurants. The apartment was well decorated. It was nice that they had a washer and drying rack.
The owner agreed to let us drop our luggage off early. When we arrived at the agreed-upon time, the key was not where it should have been, and we were waiting almost an hour before we were able to get in contact with someone about it. We never had the correct key to enter the building, nor did the code for the apartment work the entire time we were there. This issue was made known to the owner, but was never resolved during our stay which was incredibly inconvenient. They sent us a message to ask when we were leaving but never followed up on the issue, which felt in poor taste. The cleaning products they used were very strong, to the point where we were coughing for the whole first day and night of our stay. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner, specifically the toilet. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows were flat.
Tram, U-Bahn alles in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft.
Was soll das???
Very good

Alles Tip Top, sauber!
Ritornerò!
Molto bella ed in una posizione ottima
Bad
