The Koburger VH, studio for up to 4 with high bed
About
First Impressions
Walking up to The Koburger VH, studio for up to 4 with high bed on Koburger Straße, you immediately get that "local Berlin" vibe rather than typical tourist hotel energy. This three-star studio sits right in the heart of Tempelhof-Schöneberg, and honestly, the neighborhood feels authentically Berlin — you know, the kind of area where locals actually live and work. The building itself has that classic Berlin architecture, nothing flashy, but there's something reassuring about its straightforward approach. The location puts you in a genuinely residential neighborhood where you can experience the city as locals do.
The Studio Space
The room is essentially a well-designed studio that manages to feel spacious despite accommodating up to four people. That high bed they mention in the name? It's actually quite clever — creates this loft-like sleeping area that gives you more floor space during the day. There's a compact kitchen setup that's perfect for making coffee in the morning or heating up those amazing pastries you'll inevitably buy from the local bakeries. I mean, you're not going to cook elaborate meals here, but it covers the basics really well. The thoughtful layout maximizes comfort and functionality.
Location & Neighborhood
Here's where this place really shines — couples have rated the location 9.6 out of 10, and after spending time in the area, it's easy to understand why. You're in Tempelhof-Schöneberg, which puts you close to both the action and those quieter residential streets where you can actually breathe. The area has this perfect mix of cafes, small shops, and green spaces, plus you can easily hop on public transport to reach Museum Island or Kreuzberg. What makes it special is that you're staying where Berliners actually live, not in some sanitized tourist bubble.
Practical Considerations
The 8.1 rating tells you this isn't trying to be something it's not — it's a solid, well-maintained studio that does exactly what it promises. Recent guests have been rating the location at 8.7, which honestly makes sense once you start exploring the neighborhood. You'll find yourself walking to dinner instead of taking taxis, and there's something nice about that. The setup works particularly well if you're traveling with friends or family, since the space can handle four people without everyone stepping on each other. Everything is designed with practicality in mind.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps coming back to me about this place is how it strikes that balance between being affordable and actually comfortable. You're not sacrificing location for price — you're getting both. The high bed design is quirky but functional, and the whole setup feels more like staying in a friend's well-organized studio than a generic hotel room. Plus, being in Tempelhof-Schöneberg means you're experiencing Berlin from a local perspective, which honestly beats staying near Potsdamer Platz any day of the week. This apartment-style accommodation offers genuine value for travelers seeking authenticity.

The location was great, the bed was super comfortable, kitchen had everything basic you’d need, all in all great and would definitely recommend
Good location near Innsbrucker Platz. Calm area. Everything you need in the apartment. No stairs.
The room was clean comfortable, proximity to the s Bahn and U Bahn made it convenient too
The space was small but well appointed. We appreciated the washer/dryer, and the fan
Dog permitted (we paid a dog fee of 50 euro in cash for 1 dog, 3 nights). We enjoyed the beautiful Rudolph-Wilde Park nearby. There is a very nice "street food" area called "Laax" in the park.
Almost everything except lack of coffe and tea.
Apartment was clean and comfortable to stay in and was in a location that was in easy reach of trains into the centre of the city and places nearby to shop and eat.
we had a lovely stay everything was perfect, thank you :)
Apartment small and cosy exactly as on the pictures. Great value for money and nice check in people. a lot of cafes and restaurants near by.
Everything about our stay at this apartment was great. The apartment itself very easy to get to and very close to the S-Bahn station Innsbrucker Platz. The check-in manager was very helpful and even gave us some tips about the city. The apartment is comfortable with everything we needed and importantly very fast internet. In short: clean and comfortable, we can only recommend.
