It's actually in a proper Berlin apartment building on Tieckstraße – not some sterile hotel complex – which means you get that authentic residential vibe right in the heart of Mitte. The moment you step inside, it feels like you're staying at a well-traveled friend's place rather than just another vacation rental. The loft setup is honestly perfect for groups because everyone gets their space with those two bedrooms and bathrooms, but you can still hang out together in the living room without feeling cramped.
The location is kind of brilliant, actually. You're literally a few minutes' walk from Hackescher Markt, but tucked away on a quieter street so you're not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside. I mean, you can grab your morning coffee and pastries from the little bakery around the corner, then wander over to Museum Island when you feel like it – or head the other direction toward all those galleries and vintage shops in the Scheunenviertel area. The U-Bahn connections are solid too (Oranienburger Tor is right there), which honestly makes a huge difference when you're trying to get around Berlin without spending half your day on transportation.
What I really appreciate is how they've set this up for actual living, not just sleeping. The kitchen's properly equipped – I'm talking real cookware, not those flimsy tourist rental pans – so you can actually make a decent meal if you want to take a break from eating out. The whole space feels lived-in but clean, with enough character that you remember where you are without being overwhelmed by quirky Berlin apartment décor. Honestly, with that 8.8 rating, I was expecting something good, but this exceeded it. The only minor thing is that being in Mitte, you'll hear some street noise during weekend nights – but that's Berlin for you, and honestly part of the charm. For groups of friends or families who want to experience the city like locals rather than tourists passing through, this place gets it right.

We loved our stay - the location was perfect! Not in a touristy section yet close to all the sights, shops, and restaur
Great location! Within walking distance to all the major sights, shops, and restaurants. Extremely comfortable beds and bedding. Also, check-in was super easy - our host was waiting for us when we arrived and showed us around the apartment. Finally, everything was clean and kitchen was well stocked.
Lack of air conditioning, although there were fans in all the rooms. Also, no laundry facilities, which didn’t present too much of an issue since we were only staying a few days. Finally, the master bedroom is on the second floor but the master bath is on the first floor, which is a somewhat unique layout.

The layout was perfect for our family of 5. The interior is modern and clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable. The crib and high chair were very very helpful. We just loved this place!

The apartment was well located within easy walking distance of a small supermarket and a number of cafes and restaurants as well as the tram and train network. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom modern and well equipped and everything was very clean. The property is on two stories and sits behind a street facing apartment block which you have to walk through to get in and out. This meant that there was no street noise and the property felt quite secure.
We knew this from earlier reviews but the upstairs bathroom (between the bedrooms) is just a toilet and small basin. The shower is downstairs (between the kitchen and living room). The stairs between upstairs and downstairs are shut off from the living and sleeping space with locking doors and that stairwell is not heated. The carpet on the stairs is rough underfoot. Not a real problem for us (4 adults) but worth being aware of. The two bedrooms are also of very unequal size.

I've liked living in a private 2 floor house in the middle of Berlin . It also looks very safe place. We all liked it.
Coffee machine was not working. I've try to use it but no way. I thing it is out of order and that was the only thing which was not working.

The apartment was in a great location on a quiet street. It has a fully equipped kitchen that works great for having some meals in. There are also a few restaurants nearby if you want to have food out. It was nice having space to spread out between the two bedrooms upstairs and the living space downstairs.
The AC are fans in the bedrooms. On warm summer days it helped to open the windows to pull in cool air at night. The second room isn't very large. We stayed there letting our kids share the larger room.
Great Place for a Group/Family to Stay in Berlin!
Excellent location within easy walking distance to the Berlin Wall Memorial and not too far from the Berlin Hauptbanhof. It was in a quiet neighborhood, not in a high traffic tourist area but close to restaurants, coffee shops, markets… everything we needed. Four of us stayed there and it was very spacious. It was very easy to communicate with the property management team! I would definitely stay there again.
