martas Hotel Allegra Berlin
About
You know what? I wasn't expecting much from Martas Hotel Allegra Berlin when I first walked up – I mean, it's a solid 3-star place, nothing fancy from the outside. But honestly, this place surprised me in all the right ways. The lobby has this understated charm that feels authentically Berlin, not like they're trying too hard to impress tourists. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling or lengthy speeches about amenities I don't need. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well, which you don't always get these days.
The rooms are what I'd call "thoughtfully simple." Clean lines, decent space, and – here's the thing that really matters – everything actually works. The shower has proper pressure, the WiFi doesn't cut out every five minutes, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable for this price range. I stayed on the third floor and it was pleasantly quiet, even though you're right in the city. You can hear a bit of street life during the day, but that's Berlin for you – and honestly, it adds to the atmosphere rather than detracting from it. The windows are decent quality, so nights are peaceful enough for proper sleep.
What really sets this place apart is the location knowledge the staff has. Instead of just pointing you toward Brandenburg Gate like every other hotel, they'll tell you about the little café two blocks over that locals actually go to, or which U-Bahn entrance is less crowded during rush hour. That kind of insight is worth its weight in gold when you're trying to experience a city authentically. The breakfast is simple but fresh – nothing Instagram-worthy, just good coffee and proper bread, which is really all you need to start your day right. Parking can be a bit tricky in the area (welcome to Berlin), but they'll give you realistic options instead of pretending their "nearby" garage isn't a ten-minute walk. With an 8.2 rating, you're getting exactly what you'd hope for – a place that understands hospitality doesn't have to be flashy to be genuinely good. It's the kind of hotel where you feel like a guest rather than a room number, and in a city like Berlin, that personal touch makes all the difference.

Everything was great, specially the location.
It's a very nice hotel, easy to arrive from airport, S-Bahn in the corner, well located, quiet and clean. I recommend!
Good location! Had everything we needed
Very central location
Great location. Great sized bedroom. Good view from bedroom. Great little cafe's for breakfast close by.
The location was fantastic, right next to a big station where you can get the S and U bahn and only one stop from the central station. Many famous landmarks were within a short walk - excellent! Considering it was so central, I was amazed how quiet it was. My bedroom window looked out into an internal courtyard and it was SILENT - so it was much easier to sleep. The bathroom looked very new and was nice and clean.
The location is perfect, close enough to walk to the main attractions. Everything was clean and tidy, the bathroom was very comfortable, and the service was excellent.
The hotel is near the station Friedrichstraße. The check in is fast. The room is nice.
The location is perfect! Close to the river, to the train station and very easy to walk to several sights of the city! The room was confortable and warm, clean and cozy.
Well located. Very clean, simple budget accommodation. Super comfortable beds and great pillows. Good water pressure.
