Numa Berlin Boxer
About
You know what struck me first about Numa Berlin Boxer? It's tucked away on this quiet residential street in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, but you're literally a five-minute walk from Warschauer Strasse station – which honestly makes it perfect if you want to feel like you're living in an actual Berlin neighborhood instead of tourist central. The building itself has this understated modern vibe that doesn't try too hard, if that makes sense.
The whole concept here is pretty clever, actually. It's one of those tech-forward places where you do most things through an app (checking in, getting your room key, ordering stuff), but here's the thing – it actually works smoothly instead of being a frustrating gimmick. I mean, sure, there were a couple times I missed having someone at a front desk to ask random questions, but the digital setup freed them up to focus on the details that matter. The rooms are compact but smartly designed – think Scandinavian efficiency meets Berlin industrial chic. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even though you're in Kreuzberg where things can get lively. The soundproofing is solid, which isn't something you can say about every hotel in this part of town.
Location-wise, you're in this sweet spot where you can walk to the East Side Gallery along the Spree (that famous stretch of Berlin Wall with all the murals), but you're also close enough to dive into Kreuzberg's legendary food scene. There's this Vietnamese place called Monsieur Vuong about ten minutes away that locals swear by, and honestly, being able to stumble back to your hotel after exploring the bars around Schlesisches Tor is pretty ideal. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me – it's not trying to be the fanciest place in Berlin, but it nails what it sets out to do. The staff, when you do interact with them, clearly know the neighborhood and will point you toward spots that aren't in every guidebook. I'd definitely stay here again, especially if I wanted to experience Berlin more like someone who lives here rather than just passing through. Just don't expect a traditional hotel experience – this is for people who appreciate efficient design and want to be where actual Berliners hang out.
Travelers should reserve a hotel in Berlin at least two months ahead of their visit to ensure availability and secure better rates, especially during the peak summer season when the city hosts numerous outdoor festivals and cultural events.

Great stay
Location and comfort
The shower was way too hot, also, the top window in the bathroom was viewable from the other side of the street. I also struggled to get the ac working all stay
Fine, well equipped appartement central in lively Berlin- Friedrichshain
Top location at Berlin- Friedrichshain, well furnished and equipped appartement, nice interior, facilities and service
Noisy, in case window open - however Windows closed acccoustic quality fine. Details could be refined for the overall pleasant experience; plank and good knife to cut in kitchen, more natural bed materials ( instead of synthetic for not waking up sweated).
Bring ear plugs
Attentive staff even though there isn’t a front desk. I had a connection problem with the tv. It’s quick to speak to a human staff and the problem was resolved overnight. Comfy bed Kitchenette with tea and coffee
It’s not soundproof. Such a modern looking hotel but the doors and windows aren’t soundproof. You can hear the traffic, trams, everything. Earplugs were not provided by the hotel.
Thank you red robot! ;)
Everything in the room was well thought of. The kitchenette was super nice. The bed was super comfortable. Everything (furniture, installment, paint) was new and good quality. The quality was higher than expected.
We especially wanted to find a hotel room with toilet. Didn't expect this to be an issue, but apparently Germans feel comfortable sharing a toilet? However, also in this one, the toilet had a sliding door. With a proper door I would give a higher score. Also 6 nights without cleaning (unless you pay extra) is a bit too much...
Great stay
Great stay , loved the concept and design Great location
Fridge was not working
OK, not wow
Close to city center, quietness
Room is small, with very small kitchen. I came to know later on that this is the smallest room in the hotel. Elevators are very slaw. Difficult to watch TV while sleeping on the bed due to its location on the side wall.
Superb
Easy and clean
No staff if you needed help etc
Superb
The room was clean and nice, everything was exactly like on the pictures. The facilities were very good, we had everything that we needed. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.
The street noise was very loud, but the apartment provided earplugs, which were very helpful.
Comfortable space in a great location
The hotel is perfectly located and everything is pretty much within reach. The room was spatious and comfortable.
Everything was great though no staff on premises did require a bit more coordination by email. Everything was fine in the end.
Good value
We liked that everything was functional in the room and there was an essentials closet that had any other items that would have been needed during our stay. Communication with Numa's agents was very good.
Our room had its TV located in a bad position and could not be properly viewed from the bed, there was a post blocking as well. The shower enclosure can do with a shower curtain to prevent the rest of the bathroom from getting wet.
