Sonnenblick Apt in Schöneberg – nähe Ku’damm
About
You know what really caught me off guard about this place? The moment I stepped onto Martin-Luther-Straße, I realized I'd stumbled into one of those perfectly positioned Berlin neighborhoods that locals actually live in – not just the touristy bits everyone writes about. The Sonnenblick apartment sits right in the heart of Schöneberg, and honestly, it's one of those spots where you can pretend you're a proper Berliner for a few days.
The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense German architecture thing going on, which I mean in the best way possible. Inside, the apartment feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile hotel-clean (though it's definitely clean). The windows face the street, so you'll hear a bit of city life – not crazy loud, but you know you're in Berlin, not some soundproofed bubble. What really sold me was stepping out the front door and realizing I could walk to Ku'damm in about ten minutes, but also wander the other direction toward Nollendorfplatz and find those little Turkish bakeries and corner bars that make Schöneberg feel authentic. The U-Bahn connections are actually fantastic from here – Eisenacher Straße station is practically around the corner, which means you're not doing that tourist thing where you're stuck in one area.
I'll be honest, it's not luxury – this is more like staying at your well-organized German friend's place while they're out of town. The kitchen actually works (shocking how many Berlin apartments have sad little hotplates), and there's enough space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The neighborhood really shines in the evenings when the local crowd filters into the cafés along Martin-Luther-Straße, and you can grab a proper German breakfast at one of the bakeries without fighting through crowds of tour groups. If you're the type who wants to experience Berlin like someone who actually lives here – walking to the grocery store, taking the U-Bahn without consulting a map every five minutes, maybe stumbling into a random bar that doesn't have English menus – this spot delivers on that front. Plus, and this might sound silly, but having Ku'damm close enough for shopping runs while staying somewhere that feels genuinely residential is pretty much the perfect Berlin setup.

Good
Centrale ligging.
Hoewel er bij de faciliteiten staat, dat een parkeerplaats was inbegrepen, was dat niet zo. Echt heel erg balen. Moeten zoeken naar een parkeergelegenheid . Zonde van de tijd en get geld Had deze , in verhouding, dure locatie gekozen i.v.m. parkeerplek.
