The Gleditsch caught me off guard in the best way possible – honestly, I wasn't expecting much from a 3-star place, but this little apartment-style setup on Gleditschstraße really delivers. It's tucked into one of those classic Berlin residential streets where you actually hear birds in the morning instead of constant traffic, which is sort of a miracle when you're this close to everything that matters.

What I love about this spot is how it gets the group travel thing right. The living room actually has proper seating (not just two sad chairs), and the bedroom feels separate enough that someone can sleep in while others are having coffee or planning their day. The kitchen isn't huge, but it's got everything you need if you want to grab groceries from the Edeka down the street instead of eating out every meal – which, let's be honest, gets expensive fast in Berlin. The whole place has this lived-in vibe that's way more comfortable than your typical hotel room, especially if you're staying more than a couple nights.

Location-wise, you're in Schöneberg, which means you're close to the gay district around Nollendorfplatz if that's your scene, but also just a quick U-Bahn ride to Mitte or Kreuzberg. I mean, the Bülowstraße station is basically around the corner, and from there you can get anywhere without the tourist crowds you'd deal with staying right in the center. Parking can be tricky (it's Berlin, what do you expect?), but if you're not driving, you honestly don't need to worry about it.
