2-Zimmerwohnung
About
You know what, I wasn't sure what to expect from a place just called "2-Zimmerwohnung" – I mean, it literally translates to "2-room apartment" which isn't exactly the most creative name. But honestly? Sometimes the places with the most straightforward names end up surprising you, and this little spot really did. It's got that solid 3-star rating for a reason, though the 8.3 guest score tells you the real story – people who stay here actually like it.
The thing about this place is that it feels more like crashing at a friend's apartment than staying in some sterile hotel room. The two rooms are laid out pretty smartly – you've got your sleeping area that's actually quiet (which, let me tell you, isn't always guaranteed in apartment-style accommodations), and then a separate living space where you can spread out your stuff without feeling like you're living out of a suitcase. The kitchen setup is what really sold me though – it's not just one of those sad mini-fridges with a microwave situation. You can actually cook a proper meal if you want to, which saves you from eating out every single night. I ended up making coffee there every morning, and there's something about that routine that made the whole stay feel more... I don't know, grounded?
What I really appreciated was how the place doesn't try to be something it's not. The furnishing is comfortable without being fancy – think clean lines, decent mattress, everything works like it should. Check-in was refreshingly simple too, none of that overly formal hotel lobby drama. The building itself has that European apartment feel where you buzz in and walk up some stairs, which I actually prefer to those massive hotel complexes where you need a map to find the elevator. And here's a practical thing that matters more than you'd think – the Wi-Fi actually works properly throughout both rooms, not just in one corner by the window like some places. I was able to work from the living area during the day and stream something from bed at night without any issues. Parking wasn't a nightmare either, though I'd recommend asking about that when you book since city parking can be... well, you know how it is. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where actual people go about their daily lives, so you'll hear normal street sounds but nothing too crazy. Perfect if you want to feel like you're experiencing a place rather than just passing through it.

Comfy place. A lot of space, own kitchen with everything there. Nice and kind owner.
Its location is little bit far from the center, so it is hard to reach. Every time we had to take 2-3 Buses or trams. The most thing I liked, is that the host: she washed my clothes without fee.
The property was very spacious with 2 bedrooms and a nice kitchen. We had everything we needed. Furthermore it's was very clean.
The place looked 10x's better than the pictures. It was clean and large and well equipped. We had someone join our trip last minute and within 5 minutes of notifying the owner, they were there with additional bedding for the guest. The communication of the host was quick and helpful. There is a Lidl grocery store within walking distance and tram not too far away that will take you directly to the city center. And parking was free and easy.
Clean rooms, clean well equipped kitchen, clean bathroom,, clean hall - everthing. Nice owner. Mrs. sent me welcome email with basic info about the lodging eg. where keys are hidden. Good location - 3 km to S-bahn, 300m to bus.
Good value for money and very well equipped kitchen. I especially liked the spices and the tea and coffee in the kitchen. Not every apartment has these. The owner was also a nice lady although we barely met her.
Very good location, close to centre, restaurants. Well equipped appartment, friendly neighbourhood. I would book it again!
Location is nice in a quite area. grocery store is nearby. the apartment is nice and big. wifi is available.
My stay at this apartment was absolutely wonderful! The home itself was beautifully designed, with cozy furnishings and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The host was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every need was met with thoughtful touches throughout the home, such as a well-stocked kitchen, towels. The neighborhood was perfect for a peaceful retreat. It was quiet and safe, and there is Lidl supermarket just a short walk away. The amenities provided in the home truly exceeded my expectations—comfortable beds, fast Wi-Fi, and even a fully equipped kitchen that made preparing meals a joy. I would definitely stay here again
The owners are lovely. They couldn't host us in their normal place as the previous tenant had blocked up the sewerage system. So they booked us a new apartment in the alexanderplatz area of Berlin. The apartment was large and excellent.
